Re-infection is a possibility. The truth is we just don’t know how likely it is. Time will tell sadly.

My proposal as you call it, is simply a declaration that I, as a health person, am prepared to take the chance to aquire and process the virus, and move on.

How the fck is that silly when most of us are going to pick it up eventually no matter what precautions we take?
It is abundantly silly as we are HERE now and not in the future. Your government has issued instructions. So do what you're f**king told.

And that's all we can say at present - it's possible, but so far has not been proven, unless I am missing something

Rand Paul, a critic of emergency coronavirus spending, has become the first US senator to test positive for Covid-19, the Republican lawmaker's office said Sunday.

As US senators work on a multi-trillion-dollar rescue package to help the US economy hit hard by the pandemic, Paul has at least twice voted against such emergency funding.

    Sweet irony

They deserve it? That bunch of 'eejits' didn't close down their medieval wet-markets after the last time (SARS), despite saying they would, and after causing this world wide pandemic, you think they should be admired and reap the benefits?

I'll happily nominate you for an Ignoble award.

We might get the full story of where the virus came from in time, otherwise the wet market origin is pure speculation. Facts not speculation that you are is what science is about so stick your Ignoble award up your hole. Stick to debating with your teenage buddies with your speculative BS.

They are about to get back to normal in Wuhan after two months of real sacrifice for the greater good and amazing organisation.

People here are walking around in groups sharing joints and queuing up at the chipper with their buddies and going to back doors of pubs to get in ffs.

Yep. I know some have stated that it has already happened but as far as I know, they aren't sure if those cases were completely clear in order to contract it again a second time.

    Dublin has 57% of cases.

If you live in Dublin and are not practising social distancing property cop on. We're going to be screwed in a week.

The amount of people I saw coming and going from the cafe beside my home today was ridiculous. People having picnics, large groups of kids playing, eating out in the little restaurants, young people still congregating.

    Not a bother in them.

Plenty of people from Dublin went to rural mobile home parks this weekend! Unbelievably selfish and incredibly frustrating for small areas where the vast majority of locals are doing the right thing and now have been put at greater risk.
Those businesses should be forced to close.

We should be so proud of our country. We will get through this.

I'm not surprised. From my experience we're not the country we were. Ireland is full of self centred pricks who only think about themselves and have little to no regard for anyone else. I've seen it get worse and worse over the last 10yrs or more.

Your 'not caring' attitude makes you look as if you have the emotional intelligence of a 12 year old.

Not sure about that. If someone from Dublin is paying for a holiday home or owns a place down the country they have every right to use it.

Cyclists need to practice social distancing, no groups side by side on busy roads or any roads

Also why are DIY stores open?

Much as I find 2 abreast cyclists annoying, its the safest place at the moment. If they are following the rear cyclist is breathing in the front cyclists exhaled breath.

At least one near me has closed. The rest of the businesses should do the right thing now and worry about the consequences after.

We all have every right to keep doing most things that we want to do, but most of us are choosing not to and are trying to do the right thing morally!

You don't move around in a pandemic. It's pretty much top of the rulebook. Look what it did to italy

If you have kids wise up.

    Parent is a verb.

Chances are the parents of children who are wandering about in gangs are not reading these pages and are as bad as their kids.

Kids names should be taken and an on the spot fine issued to the parents. That might get their attention.

About 800 Italians died yesterday, thanks to that Chinese society you so admire. Teenage buddies? Oh, you mean my 20 something son. You need to check the definition of teenager.
