It sure was. But it seemed to be said with such assuredness..

They are still downplaying it too much. Even today it was again stated that the risk of infection is low. I get that they want to avoid panic but the kid gloves need to come off big time now.

    Just a question
People thinking that the milder sunnier weather will kill this virus?
Is it not Summer in Australia?
How is the virus doing there?

You really are a very stupid ignorant ****

It's the likes of you that will cause this virus to explode on our island and many people will lose their lives because of it. Your posts are nothing short of disgusting and vile and hopefully you'll be banned fairly soon.

    You're a vile human being.

Few agree with him but that's a bit much.

I've been doing online grocery shopping for a few years because it's so handy. Mainly with Tesco. Sometimes I might go with SuperValu but that's rare. Sometimes I might go into a bricks and mortar shop like Aldi or Dunnes. For the most part, I love the Tesco online shopping. I've never seen anything like this since I started with online grocery ordering. I can't get an available delivery slot for another two weeks. I logged onto the SuperValu site and it's the same there. The next available slot is the 4th of April. I wish Dunnes would do the online grocery shopping and it would be great of Aldi and Lidl could do the same.

I presume this virus is to blame for this.

Try buymie app [hoping this doesn't lead to a horde of assholes making multiple bookings and hoarding every delivery slot]

    Agreed.

Am I alone in thinking that our powers that be are speaking our of both sides of their mouths?

Seems to be conflicting advice. Real seriousness one minute, and then all is in order the next, and kind of go about your business..

Who is they? Every public update we get they bang on endlessly about the need for social distancing.

We need to note that certain things aren't illegal in this country yet.

I'm sad to say that I feel that the immaturity of many will make these illegal.

I'm fully expecting 12 weeks of complete lockdown where no one goes out except to go tlget groceries once a week because people are refusing to be sensible.

The weirdest thing about all this is that Spring has clearly sprung and yet we humans are starting to hibernate.
that's just more like this boards thread, most people act live normally as usual, a bit distancing and washing hands but nothing extreme, as some are clearly off their meds here, we have few messahiahs and future predictors and hysteric ones, all in we dont have much in terms of what italy is suffering with, and my guess its not because we closed down few pubs and schools, as people are still in close contact each day be it in store at home or work. live normal life as days get warmer many will be out and about plenty to do outside, virus isnt air born so safe to be out, unless some lick pavements keeping a bit of distance seems all it takes.

UK complete 180 on there Covid19 approach. The have really dropped the ball here been to slow to act. Wanted to look different to everybody else. Shameful response in my view to date.

If you had actually watched their updates and digested the info you wouldn’t say that. From the earliest press conferences they made it clear the closures would come but it was a matter of timing and would be based on modelled situations and live data. How this is a 180 I have no idea.

Where does it show the time of the Irish updates?
That will be at any time from now until 9. Fergal Bowers on Twitter is usually a good source.

It's not one day, it's 3 days in a row that the percentage has dropped. Today is by far the biggest drop though
It was 793 yesterday. It isn't three days in a row at all.

In Ireland it has been three days in a row. Not that that's reason to become complacent. Three days is nothing.

    I’d be very surprised..

Between 100-130 cases today I reckon.

Exactly, the Brit bashing is ridiculous. They are doing what they outlined they would at the start. Luckily we are going the completely different route of cocooning in the coming weeks.
