The testings is hugely backlogged. There are swathes of perfectly fine people trying to get tested clogging up the system.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about that. Nothing of grave concern if I recall, then again... either was this a few months back.

TBH I would prefer to be wiped out quickly by an asteroid strike than die from the virus. That's not meant to be a smart comment by the way.

Does 20 secs of hand washing completely remove virus from your hands if hands become contaminated? Think about it, the amount of things you touch daily in public places and if those surfaces are contaminated and you touch them and put your hands on your face, nose or eyes you risk being infected without knowing it. No wonder the virus is flying around rapidly and people who ignore social distancing makes infection far worse.

When I go to shop now. I limit my visits to shop once a week. I wear gloves. Go shopping and when im finished, I place my shopping in boot. My boot door handle is potentially contaminated from visit to shop so after I close boot door,I take my gloves off correctly and aseptically and disgard. I open drivers door and get my anti baterial spray and spray my boot door handle and then finally spray and clean my hands throughout. I won't make contact with any parts inside car where possible before cleaning my hands. Car keys seat belts, wiper and indicator controls, handbrake steering wheel light switch, radio and dashboard controls door handles window levers i will clean and disinfect before driving off and sanitize and clean my hands again after all this before driving off. I am a freak but doing my best to be careful but it's not easy.

I am spraying down all my shopping and sanitizing everything before entry to house. All disinfected shopping is placed on countertop once complete and my hands fully washed before touching the disinfected item's again. Are we all doing enough to combat covid 19?

If you were to be totally ocd about it, you could always use same clothes when shopping but change out of them after and leave them in garage or shed so you don't wear them in house, same with shoes. Give bottom of your shoping bags a a wipe, even with kitchen paper. Also disinfect your phone and wallet.

See your point , though think it’s extreme disinfecting the shopping . Though yes what if some one handled the tin of beans , then put it back on shelf ?? Where do we stop over analyzing.

I too realized today that I returned to car with gloves on , took out keys , opened boot put in the shop. Afterward realized need to take gloves off when you exit the supermarket if you’ve cleaned the trolley on entering. So I sprayed the handles cleaned keys etc but yet I handling change . I really don’t know the answer . We can only do our best

We won’t get fined or penalties if we don’t hit the 15000 mark.

In fact the smaller the number the better.

Correct but we are testing far more people than we were. As we are testing more how come cases have dropped in the last 2 days?

Yes, I think that is good news, indeed. Could be a statistical anomaly but time will tell*

I'm actually shocked that that guys post is verbatim.
I can't believe a grown adult is proposing that people get purposely infected over a soccer trophy. In the current situation
You'd wonder about the intellectual maturity of some of these guys, a bloody soccer trophy when people are fighting for their lives in hospitals around the world.

Why was this post yellow carded?

This isn't about age, it's about health and the ability of your immune system to overcome the virus before it takes hold.

They are on a true exponential curve. Set to pass China in just a few days, present trends continuing.

Before every country's big surge there was ups and downs in daily cases. If cases were in the 1,000's it would be easier to judge but the sample data is still too small to make any assertions.

The health of the person and the immune response to this is clearly related to age, though. Thats clear.

I would think if you are being so OCD about the obvious things you will miss the small things, you just cannot analyse every element and second of your life - you will send yourself nuts
Just practice good hygiene and you will likely be grand and if you catch it there's a very good chance you will be fine

Just recently in lockdown though. NY is the new epicenter, thankfully they have a mayor that seems on the ball, albeit a little too late.

He might say it is perhaps the greatest increase in infections ever recorded, we've never seen anything like it.

    I shouldn't joke, got a brother over there. :(

Well if Donald does anything he wants to be number 1. Numero uno. The top dog. Winning in every sense. The best numbers. Numbers you wouldn't believe.
