When looking at the past few days our percent change is quite high.
Anyone know where the government came up with the 30% per day?

I went for a walk at around 6.30 pm or so today, changed my routine from early morning. Everyone has a lie in on a Saturday right lol.

Not a soul around, no one. Walked by the off license, empty too.

Something's happening in this country of ours!
So strange. Went for a drive thru Supermacs there at 8, no one but two paramedics inside and staff, drive thru was busy, though. The only groups I seen in town were teens, they don't care. Gardaí need to take action with these people.

South Korea is technically an island too - because of the DMZ with the North. Yet they had a huge outbreak. ( which they got on top of , thankfully)

    Population density.
SK: 503 people per square kilometer
IRL: 70 people per square kilometre

Is there any way of convincing these teens that are so concerned about saving the planet to focus on saving their parents and grandparents? Can Greta Thunberg talk to them or something.

My teenagers getting tired of posts up on Snapchat etc of school friends out socialising while they are in. At the same time though, most teenagers seem to be calling them out over it and can see the stupidity. None of mine or close friends want to go out...they all know the score at this stage.
Hope this is getting through to them. My daughter is 13 and keeps saying but mum, they are self isolating 80% of the time ... I tried to tell her if you lived in rural anywhere when I was a kid you isolated more than that. She said "sorry but I need to tell you I cannot totally self isolate" and I said here's the number, call a taxi .... we're doing good so far.

Teens are stupid and selfish and they don't give a sh*t about the planet they are just parroting a mantra that has been brainwashed into them.

He was some footballer 25 years at the top of Serie A. Started at 16 and finished at 41. One of the greatest players of all time. No better defender.

Sorry, that is not the case. The German cases all stemmed initially from northern Italy and skiers. They are of course young or younger and aren’t suffering high mortality. This is a fact all over German media. Germans drive to the alps during winter. One can expect German cases to increase somewhat even as controls are in place.
    No necessarily correct ..

'After extensive analysis, the Milan team has not yet identified the individual at the root of the worst outbreak in Europe, but they have matched the Italian genetic sequencing of the virus here to a case that emerged in Germany in January.

“The sequence closest to the base of the branch, which is the one that probably precedes the others, came from a person infected in Munich in all likelihood between Jan. 19-22,” said Massimo Galli, head of the university research group and of the infectious-diseases department at Milan’s Sacco hospital.

Galli added that the German patient had caught the virus after contacting someone who came from Shanghai.

He said their analysis showed that the Italian outbreak must have started between Jan. 25-26, well before the first patient was officially diagnosed in the northern town of Codogno.

“We can imagine that a person who contracted the virus in the context of those infected in Munich came to Italy and the area where the virus first spread without showing any symptoms,” Galli told Reuters.'

Reports all over German media <> fact

Here's hoping that GTech, RDM, Mclaren etc can deliver on ventilators in numbers that will help everyone affected.

I can imagine it being harder if your in an estate and can see friends outside though

Is there any way of convincing these teens that are so concerned about saving the planet to focus on saving their parents and grandparents? Can Greta Thunberg talk to them or something.

Greta has moved her campaign focus online.

The real call must be for parents to parent.

Fair play him. License should be revoked and the people in them should be named and shamed in the papers. Anyone who knows a pub opening should report them.

Its trenchfoot , plenty of zinc avoid spicy foods be grand
    My old dog has that.
120 euro to be told to keep his feet out of muck and water and that he might have OCD. And rub his feet in Sudocreme (thinking of stashing his drugs in case we need them soon).

Never thought I'd say this but I hope the weather for the foreseeable future is atrocious. Keep people inside.

Greta’s ship has sailed , this pandemic has killed her parents cash cow .

I cannot stand the sight of that girl her mouth is moving but it is somebody elses words coming out.

    Shameless use of a child.

HSE published age groups for people infected - it basically shows no adult is immune, especially mid-aged group who presumably are most mobile / travel the most.

Is there an age breakdown available for “people admitted to hospitals”? Be interesting to see if it’s mainly the elderly.

Italian PM yet to speak. Seem like an announcement coming tonight but unless they want to take the nuclear option of clearing streets and putting the military in charge it's hard to see what else the government can do.

On the off chance hydroxychloroquine works we will have plenty of it anyway and for free with novartis amongst others committing to donate around 200 million doses.

I wonder has it been tested trialed anywhere yet, China?

Pubs and restaurants should be closed, drove by two restaurants today in Miltown and Churchtown in Dublin that were busy.
