We really don't need to be guessing how many people are going to get sick and possible die do we now?

No need to guess, the public health scientists have run the numbers its between about 80,000 and 150,000 in this country unless people cop the **** on and get with the social distancing effort.

Usual death rate in Ireland is approx 30,000. And crassness is utterly irrelevant.

Funny how Dr Ciara Kelly had someone in a hazmat suit out to the house quickly to be tested and test results in 2 days, rest of us aren’t getting the same treatment obviously.

Oh and the argument that she is a doc won’t hold up, she’s not practising. She’s a journo.

    Is she fcuk.

Simon Harris briefing is very good
He always came across to me a sincere man doing his best within existing constraints.

Has grown in stature during the crisis, I only hope his health holds up, and that he does not do himself more serious long-term damage.

My opinion of FG as whole remains totally unmodified.

Ireland's approach should have been much more stringent earlier on but is infinitely better than the inactivity of the British approach. A lot of damage done in weeks of prevarication

    OK PREDICTION TIME FOLKS!!!!

Coronavirus stats coming out in the next few hours. Do you guys think we have managed to flatten the curve?!

IMO will be around 500 new infections, we saw the rise in US today and it definitely shows the difference that these new testing methods are making to identifying cases quickly. We also have a lot more people getting tested and the virus has certainly spread throughout the major cities at this stage.

Do not post in this thread again
