Man from HSE on prime Time is very impressive. Makes me glad to see someone like him in charge.

He was excellent very forceful hammering home the measures. It was interesting that Miriam did not try to interrupt him at all.

About 11,000+ if it keeps consistent.

And if we could keep the increase at 25% we would be at ~6500. Goes to show what is possible.

She's been crying on the radio most days for months. I don't think that's a symptom but it couldn't be good for the body. You'd be dehydrated

If you do the maths at 30% increase per day from yesterday's 292 it does get to 15,000 31 March. It's the last few days of the month really escalate. Like 30% of 12,000 etc.

I'm Awful at maths can someone explain how its 25% not 5%, I believe ye just don't know the formula being used (I'm dumb :o )

    Total cases yesterday = 292
    Increase today = 74

    74 / 292 = 25.3%

Of course it would be more effective

I see young lads car pooling to work today and then mingling with others all day

Aldi no hand sanitizer or anything at the entrance

Nothing wrong with that as long as they washed there hands and sneezing into armpit etc. Social distancing is out and about where other you may not know you can be. Of course just locking up everyone is effective but we are hoping people are smart enough to do the right thing a let people a bit of freedom be more inclined to do what is needed then rebelling.

Alsi store may have ran out and had no more unfortunately due to hoarders its like hens teeth and supplied are taking a long time to come.

Ciara did well to be tested so soon, I have similar symptoms which I reported on Sunday. I'm still waiting to be tested. I was in Spain last week for work btw.

Don't think chest pains is one of them. Feeling you need to calm down. Yes I know saying that makes the opposite effect

I thought that the issue with ibuprofen and coronavirus was not true.

Revenue are running the refund scheme for employers who pay the weekly payment of €203 to laid off employees on the following basis:

    - Employers who have temporarily laid off staff as a result of the impact on their business of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic
    - Employers that keep their staff on payroll and have not ceased the employee(s) with Revenue
    - Employees for whom a payroll submission was made by the employer in the period from 1 February 2020 to 15 March 2020
    - Employers that are unable to make top-up payments over and above the emergency payment of €203 per week.

They say that will refund the employer the day after submission (under the normal payroll submission procedures) is submitted, meaning that the employer could wait for the money to hit their account before passing it onto to the employee.

I think this will make it attractive for many employers. It keeps the link with the employee, they don't have to cease the employee's employment with Revenue, and because Revenue is running the scheme, we can be reasonably assured it will work well in practice.
