There is a leaked report from America going around the webs
they are planning for 18 months crisis.
I really wish the "journalists" and gobsh1tes on youtube and social media would just cop on and fuck right off with their winding up the populace with their mining for clickbait.

Madrid: 446 patients in ICU - hospitals on the brink of collapse

Of the 446 patients admitted to the ICU throughout Madrid, 419 required a respirator. I had to read that twice.

Estimated 10-15% mortality rate among those admitted to ICU. Christ.

I'd argue irish are so obsessed with it because UKs failures ultimately will impact Irelands hard work and swift action.

They are putting multiple countries at risk with the stupidity of their decisions.

Nah, it’s because a lot of people are treating this like they do most things in life. More worried about da Brits and scoring points than they are about what is going on around them.

    It’s sad really.

'Asked about the study, WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier told reporters in Geneva the UN health agency's experts were "looking into this to give further guidance."

"In the meantime, we recommend using rather paracetamol, and do not use ibuprofen as a self-medication. That's important," he said.

He added that if ibuprofen had been "prescribed by the healthcare professionals, then, of course, that's up to them."'

TBH that poster should just be ignored. Constant bashing of everyone and everything. I foolishly responded to her posts a few times. I won`t be doing it anymore.

Major French TV network not a decent source?

BBC is a pretty major TV network and their article suggests otherwise:

I can't find anything on the WHO site other then listing Ibuprofen as appropriate for use.

Or you could look at it another way S, ICU patients are the small minority of folks who get a serious response to this virus, and even then they expect the majority well still survive. I'd not be surprised to find 10-15% mortality is actually quite high in the normal run of things in ICU's

BREAKING: Italy reports 4,207 new cases of coronavirus and 475 new deaths, raising total to 35,713 cases and 2,978 dead

On the positive side of things, they have 1084 new recoveries today. May as well present all the figures.

Friend of mine in the UK is a doctor, had symptoms so took the week off, her family has to self-isolate for a further week..
[10:54, 18/03/2020] : Yep. Had symptoms last Friday, self isolate for 1 week, can go back to work if symptom free at the end of that week
[10:54, 18/03/2020] : Viral shedding highest in the first five days after symptoms show
[10:55, 18/03/2020] : Household contacts isolate for 2 weeks to allow for them to contract it and show symptoms and then be clear by the end of 14 days

Surely this isn't f*cking long enough?

I think this has been mentioned here before but it's worth repeating :

One of the differences between Germany and Italy is that Italy test for the virus posthumously, Germany doesn't.

In other words...a lot of dead Italian people test positively for the virus, but that doesn't always mean that they died of it just with it.
Germany doesn't test for this at all.

Is there any data of Italian deaths per day, pre corona? Trying to find some online but its awash with current corona related data.

Found some, 10/1000 per year, so 1 in 100, with a 60m population thats 600k per year, 1600 per day die in Italy previous to corona, I guess that figure doesnt mean a lot unless we see the total deaths per day in Italy the last couple of weeks and see how much above average it is.

To be fair the Imperial college report did model both UK and US figures in some parts. And let's be fair here, where is our governments equivalent? It's all very well Varadkar coming on TV to lift the spirits, but where is the Irish curve model?

It's all very well bashing the brits but I have seen nothing from either the government or the HSE showing the date and height of our peak.

It has nothing to do with point scoring, People are worried because the UK approach till the about turn risks undermining ours, you seemingly can't accept that people might have valid criticism of the UK's approach to this crisis, why is this Aegir? .
