No - 5,000 reportedly tested in last 7 days:

Well done to them : this is what the WHO have been urging strenuously.

AAAANNNNNDDDDD we're in isolation, until little lad can be tested.

Biggest issue in this is that causes another front line anaesthetic nurse to come home, until (if) we get all clear.

Trump is such a cretin man child defending his "Chinese virus" terminology. Feel dirty defending him earlier in this thread,

I was speaking to a colleague of mine in China, I was trying to source some masks for myself and family members.

He said Chinese Government is now starting to control exports of masks and specifically want to limit the amount going to the US after trumps comments.

Good for some of the older generation on their especially. Should make they feel better.

Agree, many older folks aren't internet savvy or have access to the internet.

Against the RCC but there is a still a portion of our population who go to mass

Anyone watching the WHO press conference?

Kinda bad form to have that on national TV imo

Like everyone else, if you feel backed into a corner you'll pray to any fucker you think can help you.

If you say you wouldn't - you've never been backed far enough into a corner.

I was giving Trump stick for his Irish Pharmaceutical comments earlier on (which were an indirect dig at Ireland) and got ambushed by a gaggle of Trump lovers. Not sure if you joined in.

    Not sure if already posted.

Never has the mantra behave like you've got the virus already so as not to pass it on to others via social distancing and self-isolation been more pressing.

In solidarity with everyone who is losing their jobs, the teachers should go on the dole too. We cant afford to pay them. Makes sense, right? We are heading into the greatest economic depression.

Just back from shopping trip to replenish some perishables.

Observed that the local Tesco which practices social distancing within the store. It has changed it's model.

It's moved from an 'all stand together in a big bunch at the entrance' model to an 'all stand together in a line model'.

Unfortunately modal distance still remains less than 25% of recommended distance between related clusters.

Dr. Eddie O Reilly on Drivetime there. He must be really desperate to get back with all the airtime he's taking up recently.

Why would teachers do something to please a bunch of people who hate them anyway? Would you even give a shlt if they did it or would you continue to base your opinion of them on a teacher you didn't like in school?

except they are working from home still and correcting tests and work? Should we just tell everyone to go onto the dole instead of working from home? Theres a whole other thread for the stupid teacher bashing if you want to go there

Everyone one loving the government after a speech , shows how easy it is to get the sheep to follow,

The airports are still open and flights still coming in, that needs to stop NOW

Might be a mixed blessing given the amount of crap online about Covid19.

Set up a separate channel for it. Sure they already have a Catholic radio station. Thought we had moved beyond "having another Mass" as a nation.

My elderly mother regards tv mass as a weak substitute anyhow. Wouldn't even bother turning it on.

**** sake, more serious matters at the helm than this ****e. It brings a lot of people comfort, especially old people who are vulnerable.

Well not all of us like Fair City but they still show that sh*t.

If you have an issue with providing the elderly with a bit of solace in these unprecedented times then you need to talk to someone.

Why ? If gives elderly people a small bit of comfort during this time then what’s the problem.

You want to teach elderly people to use another channel without even being allowed to go over and show them? I am sure plenty would be fine but I am not sure it would be the general rule.

    Simplest option taken and finished.

You've made about 4 posts on this thread, all anti Catholic. Get over yourself and try and think of the greater good.

There's nothing worse than a bigoted 'liberal'.

Most of those are Irish people / residents returning home. There are virtually no tourists or visitors coming here.
