Non used masks would be in individual bags for sterilization

No they wouldn't. Not all of them.

I’ve a query re asymptomatic transition. How can it spread if a person is not coughing/sneezing? Is it through other means like kissing on the cheek etc

Cause people are dirty animals. Saw someone sneeze into their hand and wouldn't go off to the bathroom to wash their hands.

Wonder if the casts of TV soaps go into isolation before the cameras?

    Art imitating life?

(Don't watch soaps so no idea if they're doing this already)

There is a script-writing/filming lag of about 6 weeks so it's difficult for them to reference current events.
I think EastEnders have done it the odd time - by filming extra insert scenes on the day.

I'm surprised Leo is using RTE and Virgin to communicate. Thought whatsapp recordings is the modern way

It applies to a % of any population. A % aren't very bright. It's not unique to this country.

We still have quite a high percentage. The US and the UK are way ahead in the % of deadhead, mentaler and arsehole stakes though.

    Guardian:

Belgium will go into lockdown for nearly three weeks, the state broadcaster RTBF reports.

From noon on Wednesday CET, all people living in Belgium will be expected to stay at home, unless it is an emergency, or they need to visit a supermarket or medical professional.

Varadkar will be handed a statement that has been written by his EU leaders. So anything is possible since the EU is a fascist dictatorship.

Fair City looks daft tonight. They filmed for their paddy’s day night a couple weeks ago I guess and they are all in the pub drinking. Scriptwriters should be sacked.

Dail meeting on Thursday to sign off on a bill giving the government power to stop mass gatherings, close premises and pay special social welfare payments.

It seems like 6 years ago yet only 6 weeks ago we had a general election. Weeks of slagging, criticising and scoring points against politicians. We have a caretaker Government who in my opinion are playing a blinder in this horrendous situation. Look across the water either side of this island and see who is holding their reins. No-one that entered politics could have ever envisioned having to deal with this. You may not like our politicians but they are humans with families and worries the same as the rest of us.

So, that was only one trial.

Perhaps Italy's hospitals would be better equipped if persistent large scale tax fraud wasn't a thing.

    Not only tax fraud.

The Neoliberals have been running down all public services in western countries for ages. Thatcher and Regan internationally and Mary Harney here have a lot to answer for.

You can't have "low tax" "privatization" and not forcing the large companies and the billionaires to pay their fair share of tax, and also have good public health services.

And if it's not paid for... it will not be there... when you need it most.

    Like now.
