He can through tax incentives. A couple of years back he brought serious amount of corporate taxes back to the US through an amnesty if I remember correctly. It would be a huge political win for him to increase US control on their supply chains

Yeah, he's spoofing again. He's said/threatened that a few times before. Man is thrashing because he can't target a virus.

No we need to slow it to give them time to test for treatments. If the treatments work that gives us time for a vaccine.

    Ok 4 weeks, then what?

haha come on. We should be very grateful if normality returns before next year. I know it's a lot to absorb, I'm having trouble with it myself. But that's the reality.

Absolutely NOT what the article says.
It WILL consider if the approach they have taken doesn’t work.
Currently they are not in lockdown and schools and business open.
Interestingly they are very similar in size and population to us
But very different culturally, technologically, and acceptance of authoritarian control.

People advocating the stay at home/lockdown policy must not have large mortgages with kids.

I'm finding it frustrating seeing people complain on social media about working from home. I would have loved the opportunity to work from home and continue earning. It was not possible in my job so I've applied for SW.
The HSE is asking people to register for roles that they may have experience in. Be it medical training or as support staff. Hope it helps best of luck, I realise the words may sound hollow but unlike 2008 you are not alone.

I have applied for this too. I am an allied health professional. Fingers crossed.

If correct, and it holds up in reality it gives us a slight advantage Italy ~35% O, Ireland ~45% O AFAIR.

Is there any truth in Type A being more common in scots ulster/protestant people and Type O more common in Celtic/Catholic people?

So not only the birth rate in the north but now the death rate shuffling towards an united Ireland?

Sky are reporting the UK government are going to keep the current lock-down in place until a vaccine is found and think it could be upto 18 months before one is available. Germany are saying it could be 2 years before they get back to normal.

That's not going to happen. They need European plants to access the European market

It sounds good for his base. However it can't be done at the moment and he will have some scandal or other to deal with after this goes away. I see no reason to believe it will happen

Read on twitter they started testing a vaccine in the US, is it normal to just start testing loads of concoctions? or are there good signs to proceed with testing?

That's complete rubbish, pharma companies are here purely for transfer pricing reasons and we all know this. They are saving billions by locating in Ireland completely ripping of the American consumer. The US gov need to be smart and they will get them back.

Means absolutely nothing, most of them are probably just trying to get tested despite having no symptoms.

He isn't capable of that level of sophisticated thinking and on the brink of a sudden recession he hasn't a hope. The disaster of the response to this is what people will see.

Very fast to get to the human testing phase already. But the human testing phase will still be long (months) Too big of a risk to rush human testing too much.

That Moderna test has been flagged although I thought it was supposed to be in April. Long long way to go.
