Your embarrassed?. Yes I'm certain your cheeks are nice glowing rosy red now.

People panic, don't trust government want to stock up it's their money, they can burn it if they want. Let them do as they please with their money.

So I thought that I would kick off a thread about people acting the complete maggot during this Covid-19 pandemic situation.

First one up - a 30 year old Dutchman, on a flight from Amsterdam to Dublin, has been jailed for causing pandemonium on the Aer Lingus flight after he told cabin crew that he needed to stay on his mobile phone call to his mother as she had the virus.

I'm assuming you were one of the people out stocking up with a years supply of stuff yesterday then.

Meanwhile other people can't get anything for their older parents like a previous poster mentioned because the shelves are empty.

In Supervalue in Douglas yesterday, one elderly lady got very upset when she saw all the toilet roll gone, one of the staff told her kitchen paper towels was the same so she loaded up.
Saw an another elderly shopper with a trolley full of gin, had to laugh.

Hope she sends him the plumbers bill if her toilet drain gets clogged up and over flows :/

I have been sending some of my "Jedi" around to the old folk around here to make sure they have everything - and trying to find the essentials if they don't in whatever store we can. Will give them something to do when they are out of school I guess.

In a queue in lidl right now. Occasionally go in before work and it's always empty. Car park is jammed, they even have 4 out of 5 tills open.

    Glazers Out!

Its is, as said above, embarrassing. A nation full of selfish twats who just emptied supermarkets around the country so they can have the pleasure of throwing stale bread out in a week.

Saw a guy in kenmare yesterday with face mask and eye mask. He also had gloves just in case.

One of the hotel staff told me later that the shelves were empty by 3pm.

Genuine question - if whipping doesn't hurt, why do jockeys sometimes get reprimanded for their use of the whip?

It’s a rule almost fully rooted in appeasing the anti-racing clowns who go completely mad over it despite the reality that it’s a soft whip on a very large animal.

People complaining about it should try controlling a large animal with no stick, or to be honest they should try controlling one properly with a horse whip as it would be useless for handling cattle etc as they would ignore it. much stronger and harder sticks are needed.

Idiocy in this time of crisis = Dublin District Court heard cabin crew were reduced to tears and pandemonium broke out among passengers.

why would you be reduced to tears? its not something that will kill you within ten seconds. even if he had it and the cabin crew contracted it, they would be in bed for a few days, then they will be ok.

Didn't have time, was in work all day so no didn't stock up.

My point is I have nothing against those who did.

Those folk whinging about others being inconsiderate are the same folk who would trample all over others in a REAL crisis scenario.

People are inherently selfish. The 'care about everyone' bleeding heart millennial vacuous generation can post all day long about love and peace and equality on facebook and insta for 'likes' but drop them in the middle of South Sudan or Caracas or some other hellhole in the real World and you soon see what they are like. What are they gonna do?. Facebook like their way out of trouble. This, facebook, insta etc is not the Real World it's all back patting and feigning love or sympathy for total strangers. It's beyond false.

See I'm a realist, I know people can be tremendously good but equally tremendously selfish. That's EVERYONE.

Those that say they can't be or can never be are unbelievably delusional and usually a total narcissist.

I've been to developing countries. I understand that not everyone and everything is all rosy.

Truly, this is not a life or death situation for the hoardes of people acting the way they are.

If your life is in IMMINENT danger, then yes, I can understand the survival of the fittest instinct. Getting 50 rolls of toilet paper does not constitute a vital life or death need.

Normally do on line shop for delivery or click and collect and it’s all down this morning with nothing available. Only get paid today to do weekly shop and nothing left to purchase. My elderly parents in same situation pension today and I normally bring them in on a Friday for a shop and again nothing left. What people did yesterday was stupid and will leave vulnerable people short on essential supplies.

I normally could book a slot for the following day. Two days later at most, on the busiest times like Christmas. Yestetday, Tesco were almost fully booked 8 days into the future and I didn't check beyond that. I found one slot, the soonest available, for Wednesday night. So this presents an obstactle to self isolation. Also, they deliver from a Limerick store and they have approx 25 drivers covering as far as part of co. Cork and Clare (I think). If the drivers need to self isolate that will probably halt deliveries altogether? Of course they must if necessary, just a thought...

The government should have made educational videos for the RTE News showing the size of the distribution centres of all the main supermarkets in this country

don't think your average sham on the street realises the scale of these operations

The little men sometimes get angry at the big horse. Penis envy, most likely.

Absolute nonsesne, idiotic behaviour of the highest order, if it was a case of you stockpiling food and it miraculously ran out in the shops do you think people would let you happily keep your stockpile?? :pac::pac: Your door would be kicked in my friend and you would be asked kindly to hand over the doughnuts and cornflakes :pac::pac:

The government have a lot to answer, but to act like selfish prik and blame the government is a level above ignorance.

Believe what you wish, I would roll my sleeves up and do what I could as that is how I was raised. Yes plenty are just virtue signallers but if it was so unnatural for humans to care, why would anyone bother with a pretence at all.

That Dutch guy is nothing. There are people who can't get a loaf of bread at the moment because of the reprehensible, selfish, lumps of sh*t who went out and filled a couple of trolleys full of "essentials" yesterday.

For info, fruit and veg are still available (if you can get inside a shop), whilst microwave burgers and sugary cereals had a record sales day. Well done, you stupid c*nts.

I wanted to make doughnuts. Can't get fu*king strong flour anywhere because they're all hoarding flour even though none of them know how to f*cking bake.

err you ever hear of freezers?
A lot of people would have really woken up yesterday with the school's announcement and would have decided to self isolate for at least 2 weeks buying in enough food to minimize their trips to the supermarket.

Not the point. Some freezers will be full to the brim.

Others will be empty as a result!

This is not a famine. People don't need to wipe the shelves just to sustain themselves for a couple of weeks.

I have. Have you ever heard of figurative speaking? Not taking every word as literal? Even if the mongoloids who filled Tescos pockets yesterday realise they can freeze bread, there will be waste and others will have to go without because of their selfish behaviour.

The same people panic buying now will be bored and shopping deprived in a weeks time. I predict they'll all be out again, looking for mixed herbs.
