BTC holding up a lot better than the alts which is a great sign. I see the link shillers have gone quiet on Twitter.

We could be in for a tough few months here but I'm comforted knowing if the same money was in shares I'd be little to no better off.

Jesus total wipeout, knew I should have sold that ETH bump last week, when BTC didn't move with it it was guaranteed to come back down.

When buying the dip turns out to be that bit where it's just a slight slope just before the edge if the cliff!

Think you might have missed a lot! Everyone got cold feet and ditched it in October. Facebook say they still plan to launch it but seems less likely all the time.

Anyone know how to query a transaction?

I've got some crypto that was sent from Ledger Nano about 2hrs ago to Kraken
Kraken is showing a status of Confirming and the status is 5 confirmations

When I click on the Ledger Nano transaction it says Status Confirmed (4), so I guess its waiting on 1 more but it was nearly 2hrs ago I initiated it and have never experienced it taking this long

just came across this on Krakens site

    How long do confirmations take?

Each block is found at a different rate depending on the blockchain.

For example, on the Bitcoin blockchain, a block is mined on average every 10 minutes, and Kraken only credits Bitcoin deposits to a client’s account after 6 confirmations, which takes approximately 60 minutes.

However, sometimes it can take Bitcoin miners 30 or even 60 minutes to mine a single block (1 confirmation). This is outside of Kraken's control.

Ethereum is it? The network has pretty much ground to a halt with all the transactions.

Incredible sell off. Sold the majority of my crypto’s a few weeks as I need the cash for something. I wasn’t expecting this much of a drop so quickly. I can see this plunging crypto’s into a longterm bear market (again). Doubtful the bitcoin halvening will make much of a difference now

I think we need to change the title of this thread.

'Is anyone else starting to become a bit nervous?'

When you've grown so indifferent with the dips and crashes crypto can have that you kind of laugh at your portfolio going way down. But I suppose the shock from the overall situation with the virus is playing a part in that reaction too. €5,000 Bitcoin again, absolutely nuts. Haven't bought more yet but will have to consider it depending on where it moves from here; surely won't be rocketing back up anytime soon, especially since the economy is going to be rocked now, COVID-19 is only starting basically and countries are only beginning to go into shutdown. Can imagine a lot of people, especially those who invested more than they can afford to lose, are weighing up selling their holdings in order to ensure they've the cash to keep going through these next few months

That drop is severe. Drops after an insane bull are understandable, but 30% in 24 hours two years into a bear is one of the biggest I've seen in the last 6 years. Has completely shattered any notions of crypto being a hedge against economic downturns. The excuses are already being spun though.
