If you can't get any, give me a shout. I'll trade you a can for two toilet rolls and your firstborn.

He's a seriously moody teen, I'd give you the toilet roll just to take him ðŸ˜

Bloke in front of me had two trolleys of food, including 20 carrot cakes. I'm trying to get my head around how long it takes to go through 20 carrot cakes, even in a place that likes them.

Reminds me of the run on Ja-Ja-Ja-Jamacian Ginger cakes :D lol

Ever since 'the event' with the sugar-free gummy bears I've had six months of loo rolls in reserve, so I'm good on that front. As long as I don't have to switch to UHT I'll survive.

Dammit, I need a litre of milk, and Aldi is my closest shop, but I don't want to have to beat 15 people to death just to get in there.

The supply chain is fine, it's been said multiple times, however I would fear it wouldn't remain fine if this stupid behavior keeps up. Glad that I did my big shop in Aldi yesterday. Will grab milk from my local centra on the way home :)

Milking a random cow will be less hassle

Actually if the majority wore masks it would slow down the transmission of this virus, mainly by stopping the already infected from coughing and spluttering on everyone and everything.

Lads, if the country runs out of food sure there will be no need for toilet paper.

As it happens, I can do that (and I even know where to find some cows). However, due to various health issues, I'd still need to go through the faff of straining and pasteurising, which would involve going out to buy muslin/cheesecloth. OMG. What if people start panic buying cheesecloth!

It'd be easier to just wait and go later.

There's only so much panic buying that people can do. This will blow over in short order. Just look at the other countries it happened in.

A more serious longer term disruption across Europe if multiple countries have crises and shutdowns at the same time can't be ruled out. Personally I very much doubt it. But even if it happens I doubt it will be anything worse than shortages of specific substitutable goods. Anyway you're not going to stockpile your way out of an 18 month crisis.

But it's Trump's problem. His main re-election shtick is "look how high I made the stockmarket go!"

    What's it to be, folks?

Writing the novel or watching porn?

    Monopoly, Scrabble, or online gambling?

Paint the house? Dig the garden?

Sit worrying about the job, or lep into the bed and do it like rabbits?

    Plans, please!

I was in Aldi Kenmare an hour ago and spotted Cineraria, Bromeliad and Rhododendron all at half price, I presume to make room for new food and toilet tissue deliveries.

I filled my trolley with them and could see the looks of confusion from people as if trying to figure out if I was going to eat them or wipe me arse with them.

Well if she follows some American morons who mused would gargling with bleach kill the virus we'll have one less moron to worry about.

I wonder do these crowds of cretins have the tiniest glimmer of brainpower to consider that by piling into shops en masse queueing arse to tit with other mouthbreathers that they've massively increased their chances of exposure to this virus? I'd bet the farm that in a few supermarkets around the country infected and contagious individuals have been in this melee and have infected others.
