Dr Tony Holohan looks guilty, as if he has done something wrong at all these press conferences.

Why? Because he’s trotting our what the government tell him and he knows it’s wrong.

Wouldn't it be amazing if Russia came to the rescue. And they have been really quiet lately

Yeah, it would be beyond amazing if Russia ever did anything constructive and worthy of praise.

There were 7 people killed on our roads last weekend, where is the outrage over this?

    Apples and oranges.
This is a whole other thing.
Yes, that is sad, but that kind of equation thinking is bordering on insane imo.

Probably because the low temperatures on the piste kept the virus alive. Just a thought.

Wonder where it originated from. It is just so rampant in that part of the world that the mind boggles.

Plus it's likely that people hire boots and skis for the week, then someone else hires them after that and so on.

Should we all wear green and wave flags? few cans on the way maybe?
Absolutely. It'd be irresponsible to ask everyone to bring cans so we can share them around too after a few sips each.

All the jumping up and down about banning flights to italy when Belfast hasn't done it and they aren't riddled with covid 19. You cant ban flights from italy unless the uk does too or what's the point.

They kinda killed any goodwill earned from that by committing a genocide against their own people.

I remember back in 1983 when I was in the second year of senior school. My biology teacher was telling us about AIDS and how it was going to be worldwide news over the next couple of years.

Seeing as how AIDS was first identified in 1981, by 1983 it already had been worldwide news for 2 years despite there being no internet/ social media in existence then.

Well if becomes rampant here, our tourism, hotel, pub, taxi, etc. industries are fecked anyway, so I wonder what the logic is behind this from IBEC and the likes (who we know run the country anyway).

Maybe another week or two of exponentially increasing outbreaks will change their tune. Although I don't want that to happen either. Watch and wait is probably what they are doing.

If it was 14, would you prefer something was done to reduce it to at least 7?

It only became big news in 1985 because of Rock Hudson.
