    https://surfshark.com/deal/ep?coupon=3plus3
When you click on Get "83% off" or "Get Started" it will bring you to the signup page. Underneath the 3 offers/prices it says Coupon applied - If it is not 39 months for €1.67 per month/€64.99 click coupon applied and enter the code 3PLUS3
With VAT added it works out at €79.94 or €2.04 per month if you choose Ireland.

You can choose U.S. @ 0% Vat but I only saw that later.

This is definitely one of the best deals for a VPN that I have seen.
    Thebestvpn.com rates it as number 2 out of 78 VPNs - https://thebestvpn.com/reviews/surfshark/
    VPNMentor.com gives it 4.8 out of 5 - https://www.vpnmentor.com/reviews/surfshark/

If you shop while using Surfshark this black friday you can claim up to 70% back on Topcashback UK - https://www.topcashback.co.uk/surfshark/
    60% cashback with Quidco - https://www.quidco.com/surfshark/

Signed up, paid (wanted to avail of the unlimited devices) but Netflix is detecting it (using a Nvidia shield) and when testing Netflix sign up(mobile) (Argentina) it's displaying prices in us $

Might be doing something wrong, but if not I'll get on to support.

If you want a VPN for streaming services only, it's a waste.

You should consider using a DNS service instead. Used this crowd for the past 2 years and not a single problem.

I tend to renew each year on Black Friday and get a year for roughly 30 dollars

Take the free 7 day trial and see for your self.

Will this work properly if we setup for LG tv...any one with experience with this specific vpn. I can try the 30 day money back but reading the reviews its not simple to get back money once its gone(bad customer service)

signed up for surfshark a few months ago and it worked with Netflix, Prime and the bbc player but none work now. You may be able to play around and select different servers to try and get one to work but I had no success. I know that Prime seems to block all VPNs now.

This mentions BBC iPlayer but you can follow the guide and apply it to others.

also notice that surfshark slows my connection down quite considerably so all in all wouldn't recommend it although I havent really spent any time trying to fine tune it

I've yet to find a provider that doesn't slow the connection down significantly

I have had Express, Nord, Cyberghost, Surfshark and PIA.
I have gone into the settings on all of them as was required for whatever I was doing. Surfshark, Express and Nord I would put on a par with each other, although I am aware usually Express fairs the best.
Netflix and Prime have started blocking VPNs this year quite rigorously, but those three still frequently appear on lists that can still workaround. You will likely always have to go in to VPN settings to get the best workaround for each case out of them, but some of the cheaper ones don't really stand a chance.

Yeah, they have good deals every now and then, but guessing a few may have signed up on that deal, the next deal may be more expensive due to exchange rate and small price increase. I am guessing it will become more expensive.

i bought surfshark on black friday deal and it was 85% off I pay only $1.77/mo for a 27 month period

I saw this post by coldfire1x on the lifetime vpn thread.
    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=112097373&postcount=371

That's a good offer, but if you take the offer through TopCashBack and pay via Switzerland (lowest tax rate), by my reckoning it works out at $22.05 around €19 for the 25 months. It is $51.44 when you pay in US$ (It converts in their favour anyway if you try and pay in euro) - 70%.

    https://www.topcashback.co.uk/surfshark/

Requires new registration. I signed up before so I signed my sister up and used my revolut card to pay in US$.
I have never used TCB before and signed up via the link above. So if the cashback doesn't arrive for whatever reason, you can cancel the subscription and claim back a full refund in 30 days if you don't like the service at that value etc.

Signed up for one as well. Now lets see if the cashback arrives. If not then I will probably ask for refund and cancel.

I would recommend it with an android box, yep. After that, it depends on the iptv provider. Some don't like vpn's, some won't allow them.
You have 30 days to decide if it doesn't suit your needs.
But if TCB bring the price down to €19, it is probably the best offer out there imo.

I signed up and payed about 43 Euro (47USD) and got an email an hour later saying 32 pounds pending as cashback.

^^ Never got any email but the account showing £32 outstanding. I guess it will take some time before you actually get the money. So for a €10 or so, its a very good deal.

Mine says £28.09 showing now. I thought I had fecked up when I didn't click the link in the activation email from them until after I had paid for the service etc.
The cashback value is probably down to exchange rate and whatever currency was used to pay.

    Now.... I wonder if it's stackable.... :D:pac:

Whoever has signed up for this deal - I noticed that in the account it says it will auto renew after 2 years. There's no way for you to turn that off yourself.

Log on to your account, go to support chat and ask them to disable auto renew. They are quick, they disable that in a minute.

Just in case if you dont want to be auto renewed.

Is it just me or are the speed criminal on this service?

I mean I know MOST VPN are slow, but this seems to be REALLY slow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,211 ✭✭✭✭Suckit

I haven't had any issues with speed at all with them, yet.
But I have had issues a couple of weeks ago when I was using WiFi in a coffee shop, I couldn't connect to the internet while using the VPN.
But I haven't noticed that happening again anywhere since.

Have you tried changing location or opening a ticket?
They also have FAQs in the support section under help in the app.

Those speeds don't sound right at all, Even when connected to UK?
Try changing protocol to OpenVPN / UDP.

    Open vpn udp 2
    Open vpn tcp 2
Shadowsock 63 now back to 2 or so
    Ikev2 2

PC having none of it, so cant run a speed test to see

I get decent speeds on UDP mainly, and Shadowsocks, when I am out or using public WiFi.
Laptop having no issues on Windows, I haven't set it up on Linux PC.
They aso expect Wireguard to be implemented by the end of February or early March. Although there seem to be mixed opinions on that so I guess it will be optional.

I might try again another day and see, ive it for a month

Pc would not connect no matter what i done, changed all settings and turned off my antivirus

Mostly for firestick, but wanted to run test on pc to see speeds

I found no issues on PC at all. I removed remnants of other VPN's I had on the PC. NordVPN was a massive clunky thing IIRC. This was a tiny in comparison.

Got it going on pc, trying different settings and like most VPN, crap speeds compared to without one

Without 200(waiting on virgin to come out as should be near 500)
    With 43

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,877 ✭✭✭jeffk

Moved nearer router to get 5Hhz

    Without 190
    With 90

The offer is with TCB, so shouldn't need to create a new one.

Yes, BBC iPlayer working without any issues at all for me on 4 devices so far.

Guys if you need to remove the block on accessing BBC iplay, itv Hub, Channel 4 netflix etc then you dont need a VPN for this.

    Use a DNS proxy instead.

I use this company and find them great the past 2 years.

I use this service too and I have to agree. I get all the free tvplayers, no geolocking, and disney+ works great also. Dazn is launching in a couple of months in the UK so I hope their dns servers work with that as well.

I actually just checked with them and they said they had a few requests and Dazn will be added more than likely.

I suppose all of these posts are antidotal.

The use of a VPN means all your traffic is routed through a VPN which can get busy at certain periods.

Using DNS means the traffic is sent directly to your home from the server and therefore less prone to congestion

I was typing it in that they also offer that service and remembered that page.

So far I find the service very good. But when there are no offers on they are probably a bit pricey for many, which is when the smart DNS option you posted may be a better option for them.
