We'll get booted out of here for it.

    It wasn't a utopia either.

That's the problem with Christianity...a lot of good ideals are fcuked up by man no matter what the era or ideology.

Anyway this virus. It's moved up a notch today.

I've found a signal hidden inside our own satellite system, they're using our own satellites against us, and the clock is ticking

Its because most of the politicians are sulking. "You didnt vote for us, so Im not going to bother to do anything".

My assumption is that its FG who are still in power and still, ultimately call all the shots? This is 100% showing their inability to manage anything.

    Do you genuinely believe this?

The Liverpool squad must have picked it up somewhere, judging by recent performances.

How can we honestly say we are in containment mode when we'll never ban any flights from Northern Italy (and other high risk areas)? It's our only chance at slowing the spread.

We will only "ban" the flights after the airlines stop them all due to customers cancelling or not booking.

The nihilistic types among us might decide to purposely spread the virus

No doubt there will be a few anti-social types, with personality disorders, who actually do this, but of course they are a small minority.

Los Angeles county is 6 new cases and anyone who knows LA also knows that's not a particularly large area. Makes you wonder the situation that might be emerging in the wider city counties. It's thought coronavirus has been circling for weeks on the west coast but hardly any testing has been carried out.

You just get a sense things are going up a level today.

What Irish sites are people finding best for Irish updates?

    The journal.ie

    Yeah guardian Live good.

    Internationally

Harvard epidemiologist Dr EricDing has been the best source for latest info about the disease and global situation I've found.

    https://twitter.com/DrEricDing

La repubblica newspaper is best for what's going on it Italy. Google translate if you need. Information hard to find there too but they are doing a good job of referencing civil protection numbers etc vs other media outlets there,

Anyone else here a Liverpool fan?

What do you reckon are the chances of coronavirus ruining our first title in 30 years?

    Oh FFS:mad:

I wonder did they transit through UK or Dublin coming back?
Not sure about flights from Belfast to Northern Italy.

It would certainly reduce the numbers opting to travel to Ireland from the area of very high infection rate, and at least buy more time from an inundation if cases.

    France with 45 new cases

Italy should be coming out soon

There was a Korean Air flight attendant diagnosed a couple of weeks ago who had spent several days in LA on a layover and visited several restaurants in the Korean part of town. Could be some cases linked to that?

I'm just waiting for the first cases to be diagnosed here in vegas. We are surrounded by infected states, with the busy international airport and high number of tourists from other parts of the US theres no way there isnt currently an outbreak going undetected.

Is there anything online from people who have recovered? Like talking about how they are now etc. I find it strange there is nothing online, especially in this day and age. Like, do people go back to their normal lives and are totally fine?

Royal Veterinary Collage has issued a statement re:quarantined dog in HK.

Upshot is there is no evidence pets can become infected but it is very possible virus can 'live' on pets.

Won't be rubbing anyone's dogs and any fecker who tried to run mine will get told to back the eff away from the pooches.

Do you have a link to that please.

So the dog that tested "weak positive" had coronavirus 'on' him, rather than 'in' him? As in a dog can carry it on them like any surface. Like if someone with Covid-19 sneezes on my arm, I'm now carrying it on my arm? Is that what you mean?

I think it's mad crufts is going ahead with all the people there, from all parts of the world. If the virus can sit on dogs coats as well... And all those people petting the dogs.. crazy.

We're all going to be avoiding touching unnecessary surfaces but very hard to resist petting a cute dog!

What is surprising me is the lack of information breaking about the woman from last night. There does not seem to be anything on social media about the contact tracing etc. No indication of location etc. (I did see a whatsapp message about it being DCU but took that with a bucket of salt as it was the only one I seen) ,this was posted before I seen the link above from DCU ;)

The Irish Times reported on the contact tracing yesterday.

    Bit of a chance.
But I think games will be behind closed doors.

If it gets really bad the Euro's will get postponed which is likely imo.

So if the season is suspended for a month or two I can see the season finishing in July maybe,
