Should Moran even still play for Waterford?

Some decent play from us but some laugh with all the sendings off

Austin knew what he was at but yeah the Moran red was ridiculous.

You have to worry about where aussies head will be now after this

Cahill wont take any sulking from him or anyone

    Congrats to gailtir

I’d say that could be his last game. More pace needed on that wing for championship

Aussie tried his best to smash the hurl into the Tipp lads head.

The attitude is 100% which is very encouraging. Pity they are leaving so many points behind. They are playing better than Tipp which is a good sign for things going forward.

Very happy with that. Better team playing with a man down, frees cost us the win.

And Galway won so quarter final secured.

Had a few wides which could of won the game for us but very spirited performance and were going in the right direction clearly

Thanks to the Galway win we are into the knockout stages and getting that extra game. The way it stands now is we can finish in anything from 1st-3rd. Free shot at Limerick for top spot (we would have the h2h over them if we won). 2nd or 3rd for us if we lose and then we have to see who wins the Galway vs Tipp game

In 1B Clare into the semis with Wexford 2nd and Kilkenny 3rd going into the QFs

Footballers fought back to get a draw as well, two good results on the spin.

Yeah it's a pity we lost the first few games but you have to imagine the management are happy with the campaign performance wise. London at home and Antrim away our last 2 games

Congrats to Gailitir, will be a great night out in Dunmore

16 wides to Tipp's 6 was our downfall. Could have won it on another day but it wasn't to be. Encouraging enough performance despite the wides. Crazy weather in the first half going from sunshine to rain to snow and back to sunshine.

Moran hardly touched Forde but stupid thing to do all the same. He also got a straight red against Clare in the round robin in 2018. His pace is gone, I’m afraid.

Gleesons first yellow was a very soft one whereas the second might have been a straight red. The Ref left a lot go in the 2nd half, allowing for the poor state of the pitch with players slipping and sliding all over.

Good enough performance in adverse circumstances and worked their socks off ; impressed with Prunty, McNulty, Barron, Hogan & Bennett ; didn’t realise that Kearney had such good movement while SOKY pulled off some great saves.

    .

I was out on the pitch after the game with my young fella and tried to run after a ball he hit over my head, the pitch was an absolute bog. A total gluepot. Judging a player’s pace or lack of pace on that pitch is laughable.

We beat Limerick- 1st in the grp and a semi final spot
    Draw vs Limerick -2nd
loss/draw for us, Galway beat Tipp - 2nd
We lose and Tipp win- 3rd

    QFs
2nd place and its Kilkenny possibly in Walsh Park (could be coin toss for home venue)
3rd place and its Wexford in Walsh Park

If Cahill had any balls ,he would have subbed him just before the red card ,he was having a terrible game as was Moran

Well Barron or Bennett ,to name just two showed no lack of pace

I know it’s early in the year but yet again, we’ve lost a winnable game by missing easy frees. If we’d just made one more then we could have tapped over that easy free at the end for a draw instead of having to go for goal. That’s a fine margin.

Anyway, what a great effort in that second half. Work rate was top notch and they never gave up.
Hard to judge the forwards when we went back to 13. For most of the second half it looked like we had the extra man and what a sight to see our lads charging forward from defense to support the attack. Aussie stupid again, it was probably a straight red and he wasn't having the best game up to that moment.

Stephen Bennett.... what a man. He’s like a man possessed and Liam Cahill must love him. He’ll get stick here for missing a few but everyone misses a few.

Calum Lyons.. I think this kid will go on to be one of our greats. I love his attitude and diversity. I don’t know who keeps stats but I reckon he’s a league leader in blocks.

It's not like you to be given out about a manager. A broken record.

Two fellas who are 7 and 9 years younger than Moran. Good analysis from you.

We seemed to struggle with our defensive set up before the red cards. Within the first minute Seamus Callinan drifted out deep from centre forward and Austin shouted at his midfield to say once Callinan passed the 65 he was someone else's to pick up, similar to how Austin was positioned last week. But we didn't seem sure of this as Conor Gleeson dropped at one point, Kevin Moran moved at another and at least once Callinan was alone. However for me this is a system issue and understandable with a new manager in his 4th game.

I'd have to give credit to our forwards today. I very much doubt the tv captured the work they put in off the ball against the extra man in the Tipp defence. Again I wouldn't worry about the wides as the aforementioned work was energy sapping.

Swings and roundabouts regarding the wides.

In our earlier games, both Cork & Galway had a shed load of misses.

If its kilkenny and waterford think it's a toss as kilkenny had two home games.laois gave up home advantage today.

And that's what you took from what I said ..the last few games he got a lot right .today he got caught up ,whether I'm a broken record or not ..Aussie was having a nightmare so was Moran ,I'd love to blame someone else for leaving those two on as long as he did .but unfortunately for Cahill so the blame lies with him . It also spells out a particularly bad message to the lads on the bench that . depending on who you are decides how long you should stay on the pitch ..it's the managers job to sort this and he didn't ..correct me if I'm wrong on that .

It was still the first half tbh . Cahill strikes me as a manager who's gives lads and chance and if he feels there not up to par on the day you're off
