Is it fair to say that the Champions League has no hope of continuing this season?

Not a hope it will go ahead. Talk of the games tonight being called off but it might be too late for that. As a Liverpool fan i'm literally ****ting it that the premier league will be cancelled also. Be just our luck :(

    Not at all.

Not at all as is no hope of it continuing, or not at all it will continue regardless

Yes, you can publish whatever stats you want and nobody will question you or they'll be off to Xinjiang for re-education with the Uighurs.

Don't panic folks. The CCP has beaten the virus and have proved their strength to the Chinese people and the world.

I predict 0 cases by this time next week on current trends.

    All is well.

    Crisis averted.

Is it fair to say that the Champions League has no hope of continuing this season?

Wouid they potentially finish all games behind closed doors?

That aside, will all players and staff want to remain working in close environment with each other if everywhere else is on lockdown?

Even if you stripped it down to the bare minimum most professional teams would prob have a full bus (50-70?) full of people. Are they going to want to fly or take trains across a virus Europe? Will clubs want to put their prizes players at risk? You can only manage your own club, other clubs may not be as cautious/prepared.

BTW, I’m not saying this will happen, just asking questions that many players and clubs will be asking themselves.

Far more likely for it be a closed door event going forward.

Think the PL can be played behind closed doors I hope since no air travel.

No chance of a parade either.

And then the masks are only good for 15 minutes OR half a day!

can be much longer if you then turn them inside out and after that upside down.......

    :pac:

Exponential growth in Europe is inevitable , I cant see Sport in Europe going ahead much for the next 4 months. The next month will tell alot. Maybe early containment could make it possible. We dont really know how slow Wuhan where to react

    Gentlemen,

In other countries affected has public transport been curtailed?

Wondering what we can expect here, I'm dependent on public transport for work

I’m in South Korea. The panic here is insane, but the buses and trains keep running.

I suppose Liverpool fans will have to console themselves by continuing to post stupidly long league table posts counting out each point in the soccer forum so . . :pac:

Jesus i don't know. The bottom 3 could possibly screw that up by saying they don't agree to it as they stand to lose millions if the league ends as is. Think the season will be written off personally.

I hope all the churches do away with offering the sign of peace and shaking hands with strangers. Its vile on a normal day but really needs to stop now. I am not a big mass goer but was at a couple of funerals recently and its still happening

Technically now it's arrived in Brazil, sure it meets WHOs pandemic (all continents) status?
Maybe they're waiting for the Antartic to phone in.

Also new countries to join the list today are Greece and Lebenon.

We should have been preparing since the 3rd week of January. The stats were crazy then. It was only going one way.

I don't think it would tbh. It would mean the virus is exploding in the UK and more than likely here but sure whatever once you get your kicks.

But the top 6 in the Championship could put in a counter claim.
As could anyone within reach of a Champions League place for next year.
I'd imagine they'll find some way to play the remaining games behind closed doors.
But no physical contact and the ball gets cleaned every time after touching exposed skin.
Can't be any worse than VAR.

And all that finger dipping on the way in, the haunted bread could also be a risk. They could always install alcho gels at the end of each seating area.

    - what - you mean after they've evacuated the crowd part way through the match?

Fortunately we're in the Europa League which no-one has mentioned so far, and I'll be among a crowd of 70,000 or so tomorrow evening
I think we'd be declared champions regardless.
No - you cannot be. You can describe yourselves as "Nearly Champions", but it will count for nothing in the overall scheme of things:pac:

People who brought that up then where called nut jobs. I got called a tin foil hatter in the original thread when i mentioned border controls and the fact i'd done some stock piling of food and bought masks for my family but especially my elderly parents who just can't afford to get sick. They get the flu jab every year and fingers crossed it's worked thus far.

How do you know? Are you using your underpants as a face mask?
