Cork seem to have found themselves a goalkeeper, serious saves towards the end.

Hopefully that's just purely precautionary. He was out, so surely hospital check up be minimum needed

It looked bad. He was on his stomach but they flipped him over after putting a neck brace on. They just flew out to CUH at serious speed.

I see Kildare bet Warwickshire 5-19 to 0-01 today! :)

Were the Warwickshire team down players or drunk ???

    Crazy scoreline

Hope bubbles is ok and makes a full recovery

I thought it was poor form of Diarmuid O Sullivan aggressively roaring and provoking one of the Tipp players last night in the game's dying embers. What was he doing out on the pitch looking to get involved because a Cork player hit the deck? Is he allowed on the field like that? It didn't look good anyway as he lost the head and was spoiling for a row.

    Any more word on Bubbles?

    Any more word on Bubbles?

Same as earlier. Sounds like he will be ok which is good to hear.

Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy expects John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer to make a speedy recovery from the injury he sustained in the closing stages of last night's defeat to Cork.

O'Dwyer was only on the field a matter of minutes before he was grounded following an aerial collision with opponent Bill Cooper. The game was delayed for eight minutes while the experienced forward was treated by medics on the pitch before he was stretchered off.

Thankfully, the injury wasn't serious with Sheedy telling RTÉ afterwards: "Bubbles is good. I was down in the medical room with him. He is feeling all his bones.

"He’s a bit shaken, but thankfully he’s okay. He’ll probably be sore for a few days, but we don’t think there is any major damage, but we await confirmation from the medics."

Weather could hit again this weekend and postpone a few games meaning everything been dragged a week now with the group stages not finishing til the weekend of the 7/8 Mar (which atm is the date for the QFs). The current scheduling aims for the league to run off the next few weekends with the final been on the 22nd March

Another double header final with the division 1 football final in Croke park on the 29th March might be an option this year

Feel sorry for the players in Ennis playing in this weather.

John Kennan ref having a nightmare in Ennis.

Weather isnt great but the standard of reffing is a worry.

1-10 to 0-6 to Wexford at half time in a blustery Wexford Park.

Giving Clare everything. The booking on Willie Dunphy was laughable.

You wouldn't put a dog out in this weather. While most county teams be finished hurling by early August. Hurling is not a game to be played in the wind, muck and rain. Should have cancelled all games this weekend last Friday.

Yeh two clear frees to Laois when the clare man has swipped across playing the hurley. I actually was worried he was going to send Dunphy off.

Tony Kelly is some hurler though. Best in the country for me at present.

Laois with the gale could ask serious questions here hopefully.

Weather aside, be great to see Laois or Westmeath pull off a shock win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 37,875 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

You think the CCCC would have made up new fixtures instead of waiting to have there meeting next week

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Westmeath had Cork to two points before a goalkeeping blunder sees Cork lead by 5. Cant afford these mistakes against the top teams.

Another Wexford win v Kilkenny. Good stuff. Wexford might fancy winning this years league. Limerick and Wexford final i feel.

1B is looking pretty competitive for the stronger teams

Yes you are correct there. Kilkenny, Clare, Wexford and Dublin all looking for top two positions. Hard to call really. I just feel Wexford and Davy will go all out for the league more than some of the others. Some good games ahead.
