Whistle happy referee in Croker, ruining the game.

Davy acting the maggot again. He was roaring and bawling as early as the 5th minute and Mattie Kenny and himself are letting each other know what they think of each other. Davy just cant help himself.

Johnny Murphy is a brutal ref. He has ruined countless games. Ruining the game and not surprised he's ruining the game.

Awful game thanks to the referee. Resembles a hockey match.

Dublin fighting hard and matching Wexford in the physical stakes. O Donnel a top class full back.

This is an absolute disgrace. What a farce ref ruining the game here in croker

  • Registered Users Posts: 504 ✭✭✭Davys Fits

The ref is 100% correct and not runing the game. The players who cant keep their hand off each other are ruining the game. If the officials cant show some authority during the league then what hope is there for the championship.

Agree. Very scrappy affair. Ref just doing his job.

The players never seem to get the blame, always the refs fault.

Ah c'mon lads let the game flow a bit blow it up for anything dangerous fair enough

Dear god. This is one of the worst refeeing performaces I've ever witnessed. Guy in the middle of strking a free and he blows for a player standing too close. Hope we don't see this clown come championship time.

Ref obviously hasn't heard of the advantage rule.

Wexford still to find a free taker.

Chin not a reliable free taker and after missing his third or fourth Davy takes him off. Dublin keeping Wexford at bay.

Now puck out is taken lands in a Wexford player's and he blows it up 'cos there wasn't a sub fully off the pitch. Dreadful.

Now sends off a player for a yellow offence.

The only thing I can think of is that he thought Conor McDonald made the first challenge.

Edit: How does this lad get games? This is farcical!

Great last 10 minutes. Wexford finally wake up.

Cannot believe Dunbar didn't take his point there. Davy will kill him if they don't win this.

Decent ending to a very scrappy game.

Ref was a little all over the place, but in his defence there was some borderline stuff from both teams near the end there. For the McDonald red card, the Dublin player was struck three times by three different players.

  • Registered Users Posts: 504 ✭✭✭Davys Fits

Decent game when both teams decided to play proper hurling. Dublin surely learn some lessons from a game they should have won.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Really should have closed that game out. The defending for the last Wexford goal was poor. Had a chance to get one over on a serious rival in Leinsterl but blew it. Disappointing finish.

That's Wexford through to the next round more or less

A Clare win tomorrow over Kilkenny will give them the top position in the group and a semi final place no matter what the result in the last game

Don’t know where else to ask this, but is the national anthem not supposed to be played before inter county matches or is it down to the county board in question? I haven’t heard it yet this year, home or away.

Happy with Waterford 3 wins from 3 but still dont think were through to the next round ???. One thing going for us is its Galway vs Cork next weekend with Cork playing there last game. only 1 of those will get a maximum of 6pts

1B seems to be sorted with Clare only needing a draw against Dublin for top spot with Wexford/Kilkenny having easy games vs Carlow/Laois

Nothing between most of the top teams

Sean Cleere put in some display today. Only good thing you could say is that he frustrated both sides

The 'pundits', and especially the Sunday Game panels are more or less dictating the rules now, so dont place all the blame on referees.
The 'top table' are putting massive pressure on them.

Ref was dreadful in the Wexford-Dublin game. Talk about being finnicky. But Rory O'Connor was amazing in the second half. Can't remember someone so young to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Our running game and ability to take points from distance is very encouraging. And the use of our panel can only help in the long run too

Cork v Limerick was a decent game. Limerick looked the stronger side for long spells but a couple of early second half goals for Cork set up an exciting last 20 minutes. Well deserved for the Treaty men who look very hungry to regain their League title.

Dublin have to beat Clare and then hope Kilkenny lose to Laois to qualify for the next round. A Clare win or draw will give them the top spot and a semi final place as they have the h2h over Wexford

A Clare slip up and a expected Wexford win will give Wexford top spot

Kilkenny more than likely will only finish 2nd/3rd. For a top spot finish they need both Clare and Wexford to lose and hope scoring difference goes there way

The 1B teams and possibly Cork have a little advantage as they get a break the weekend of 7/8 March. The QFs will be on 14/15 March
