Some amount of diving going on by Tyrone

The abuse Clifford takes and then gets sent off. Might have well have arielatom making him every game

That said, conditions are muck, literally.

RTE should just scrap the RTE player and stream everything to Youtube - it's an x100 better experience.

Derry beat Tipperary hurling rejects by 4 points. I am at the other end of the county though obviously as I don't go to games.

Referees need to be protecting players like Clifford not sending them off for nothing. Some dreadful refereeing throught the NFL so far but you'll see these clowns getting games every week.

Really is. The game on TG4 YouTube hasn’t missed a beat. RTÉ Player would have crashed 5 times before half time.

Got to hand it to them. They get the job done. That's a great win for them.

Brilliant win for Tyrone. Wasn’t pretty in parts but enjoyed that.

    The league is brilliant.

David Clifford got a second yellow for being dragged and held down by a Tyrone defender right in front of the two umpires. Mind boggling how it was a yellow

Why? Clifford is no wall flower when it comes to dishing it out

Absolute farce giving Clifford a yellow for that!

He gets away with plenty. Refs normally treat him like a child that nobody is allowed tackle.

Some footballer though. Imagine Mayo had a forward like him

Meath once again bottle it when the chips are down. When's the last decent top team Meath actually beat? Their last 3 or 4 games with Tyrone get edged out despite being the better team, same with Donegal. Even Mayo, who never used to be able to beat Meath, are doing them every time.

The talent is there, but they lack belief and confidence. We've been told the last year or two Meath are on the way back, but who actually believes that? Meath were once the hardest team in Ireland who'd fight til the end, now they are the softest. If they're not giving away 10 points half time leads, they are kicking 25 wides a game. When the game is in the melting pot, the Meath team of today is a soft touch who will always wilt and collapse when it matters.

Can't get over the line against any decent team for the last 4 years or so. And that trend will continue. No real leaders or steel in that team

Still doesn't justify a yellow for being dragged down

First year back up though, they’ll be better for it. Bit more accuracy and it was a good performance today.

    Tyrone cynical masterclass

Sent on a sub to get Clifford sent off and ref fall for it.

Tyrone player jumped into Kerry player for a free.

Worst was the lad who threw himself down with no contact at all and a free given.

They really are a horrible team

It’s the easy way out for diabolical referees I.e. book both even if only one is responsible.

Although Kerry are no strangers to cynicism themselves.

The David Clarke kick out at the end of that game is probably one of the most pathetic things I've seen in the history of the GAA.

There clearly was holding and wrestling, which any team would have done, but sure Clarke kicked it over the sideline anyway

    You’re memory is extremely faulty.

For the Clarke kick-out the ref blew the whistle and gave Kilkenny a black card for one incident. He then allowed the kick-out to be retaken.

With two men free on the opposite side of the pitch, Clarke proceeded to kick the ball dead on the other side. What a complete meltdown and nobody or nothing to blame except the mental fragility displayed by Clarke.

The game is available to view online, would you mind directing me to the time stamp where Dublin suddenly took down the entire Mayo team like some sort of royal rumble

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxVkVzXci6M

Is the black just for the last few minutes? Because in that game Keegan dragged Kilkenny to the ground at the throw in, letter of the law says that was a black. Not condoning what happened in either one, I bet if Mayo we’re winning and they dragged Dublin players down it would have been hailed as seeing out the game, desire to win and any other cliche you want to add.

Agree. Diarmuid Connolly got same treatment for year was basically told get on with it. Grabbed around the neck and dragged to the ground in one game and yet he got the line. I thought Clifford would have got the protection Connolly was never afforded over the years.

Some set of results this week in Division 1. Meath unfortunately look like they are done as they realistically need three wins from their remaining games to stay up. They are away in three, including trips to Kerry and Dublin.
Everyone else could end up in the final or in a relegation battle.

Every situation doesnt need to be answered with whataboutery.

It was a ridiculous decision by the ref and before anyone starts saying I'm being biased - I said the same about Mannion last night.

It's genuinely the worst thing about football - it's going to kill skillful players.
Connolly was hounded out, Jamie clarke the same and Benni coulter talked about it being a factor in him retiring.

Like what the f*ck is the umpire at
