Even though that just happened with Mary Lou, I don’t think it’s going to have any major impact...

Mary Lou, are you posting on boards while debating at the same time?:confused::confused:

    :P

So if we.cant bring up Paul Quinn because it's.in the past and SF have changed.

Can the same not be said about the Crash or is there limit on how far you can go back before it can't be brought up ?

Or the 470 people that committed suicide because of the crash as reported today.

I think ML will now wish she was not allowed to participate, Miriam has done a job there on her!

So if you vote for Sinn Fein you vote for politicians that have to speak and take advice from unelected unknowns that live in the shadows?

Varadkar isn't that good but he is being made look extremely competent here.

This is embarrassing to watch, I don't want any of these people in power.

The only one again with actual facts and figures who hasn't just been "out talking to someone who...."

Really starting to think that a big reason for the SF increase in polls was due to their exclusion from the first leaders debate. As a set piece it pitted 2 similar candidates and left the casual voter wondering about an alternative. Plus there was a well crafted sense of victimhood by MLM.
The irony now is that inclusion in tonights debate may have seriously damaged her credibility. Weak on all the big ticket issues and resorting to hackneyed student union debating lines. If she had been shut out again it could have swung it for her, now the lack of depth has been laid bare.

Because he was murdered by the IRA and Sinn Fein covered it up.

That's a wild claim in fairness

    Lol, I honestly don’t though

Boomers can't get over the IRA.

Its not that they cant get over it, its that they know the terrorist character of the people that populate SF. Its understandable that younger generations may not realise that.

Anyone have their voting opinion changed tonight?

Out of curiosity. I doubt anyone has. We all will vote for who we were going to vote for at 9.30..if voting.

    Top notch deflection!

Paul Quinn doesn't matter because other people died.

I have to agree with you, def the most statesman here.

I had an argument with my 71 year old mother about that. One Monday morning in December i stood from Galway to Athlone because the train was full of aul wans going to Dublin for the day on the free pass to do shopping.

My argument was the pass shouldn't be eligible during commuting hours.

She said "but what if i have a hospital appointment at 9 am one morning".

I said what if I, as a worker, have a hospital appointment but its pushed to 1pm because yours is at 9am. So the worker has to take the day off while the retired person is taking up space during the rush hour stampede.

    The whole system is backwards.

not even the best euopean socialist utopia has 100% free travel for all OAPs, everyone pays a bit - the result? properly funded public transport. The FTP was a cynical vote bribe.

MLMD lives in an alternative universe.

The demographics will look after themselves.
Carbon taxes don't influence climate change.

I’ll have to look up to the Paul Quinn in detail as while I knew the general points but I’m not up to date on the story fully.

Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are lucky RTÉ invited her to attend. Being exposed big time.
