Well, that's good enough for me. I'm in enough government databases as it is due to some of my previous jobs

Anyway, for those who want to take a dive into my random ramblings, here's the link: https://thomil-english.blogspot.com/

Be aware though, there are a 136 posts, dating all the way back to 2011, before I even moved to Ireland. And that's the smaller of my two blogs.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Bedside. Can’t sleep. Got up and put a wash on. No doubt I’ll be able.. or want to sleep when my alarm goes off.

Also enjoying Leg’s commentary on the toilet thread.. “warm seats ruining the day” made me laugh so much!! :D

    It's true, Dave.

Absolutely! If mine was anything but cold now it’d have to be some ghost ass warming it up. Although that probably would bother me less than human heat.

I’m in bed, with something of a head cold that seems to have come on out of nowhere. Typical. Listening to some ABBA and relaxing

Still at the coalface, then home, collect a doggo for a three night stay in casa grem, go to the hardware store for a few bits then to the doc for my ever worsening shoulder nerve thing. I feel like i should be plugged in and charging

@Grem, why are you going to a doctor rather than a chiropractor ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,854 ✭✭✭✭smurfjed

Got called yesterday for a chat about my "desk job", a new manager had taken over and he wanted me to stay, he was kinda surprised when i said he might see me at the desk 2 days a month due to my real job. In the end I stayed "resigned", so now sitting on the balcony with the mutt rather than running to an office desk. Life is good :):)

Money mainly, being low income i have a gp visit card (just realised my first time using it!) i am hoping to get something to help release the muscle tension that has built up so i can exercise it out.

    Captains log 06.18 4/2/2020

    Kitchen table supping tae......

The 3 chicks have all been vomiting during the night...numerous times.

Mr. Gifted is now a very cranky bollix with a headache to booth

Mrs Gifted in fairness was up a lot more than me during the night but she's off work today. She has however 3 sick chicks around her all day.

Think I'll park my car in the furthest corner this morning and go for a sleep in it.

If it is muscle tension what I would try is dropping a golf ball (if you’re hardcore) or tennis ball (if you’re not) in a sock. Hold the sock against a wall behind your sore shoulder and lean back into it it should be uncomfortable but not sore, and using your body, roll it around to massage it out.
Depends on how tight the muscle is, if there’s knots (there probably is) but it is effective. You can go down the route of dry needling and sports massage too. I’d steer clear of a standard back neck and shoulder or a deep tissue in a spa. I used to go to a physio who would strap me up but to be honest dry needling worked better on me. The ball is good too though so try that and then look up stretching exercises!

    It doesn’t hurt
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_needling
But when they hit the belly of the muscle and the trigger point you can feel your muscle pop it’s crazy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,499 ✭✭✭IamMetaldave

Ball work is brutal, the pop feeling is nauseating.

Bedside - awake so early. Had some mental dream, so that was cool. Some self-presents arriving from eBay and Amazon today while I can still get stuff without duties or whatever after the big B happened at the weekend..

I've had that release feeling from needles too, it is really weird how it makes ya feel nauseous

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Oh I love the pop! Especially when it makes me feel a bit dizzy. Love the golf ball on the foot too. It’s so hard to find someone good at massage though.

I still remember the first needle pop in my hand, i'll never be able to recreate the uber embarrassing sound i made when that went :o

Better idea, ask any chiropractor what college in Ireland they studied at and you might get a shock.

Sat in my kitchen as my living room has been ripped apart... fireplace and floorboards up since yesterday morning...and delivery of replacements is late :D

Home, just noticed I left the teabag in my tea.

The weather... épouvantable! Shivering with damp cold. Or is it just me?

    Appointments, work.

    Morning All!
Doggies & cats happy out. Great chat with my sister this morning ... it's lovely to see her blossoming as she nears her due date. A very kind new neighbour surprised me with a visit last night. She brought gorgeous company and an abundance of baby equipment & clothes for my little sis ... people are so kind. There's something particularly special about receiving second hand baby clothes that have been treasured so much. I'm feeling a bit addled at the moment. As a creature of habit, this does not sit well with me at all. I feel like I'm entering uncharted waters and need a map. Having said that, I'm no good at following directions! Oh dear ...

Have a great Tuesday lovely Wherers!
