I know I've said this a few times here, but for those who don't know... Everytime I drive by McHale Park and see the sky blue coloured seats I go ****ing demented.

    It really grates me.

    Rant not over.

Just think about the poles obstructing the view and at least you won't be fully focused on the seats.

I’d say if you were to look at it most County grounds are shared with Club teams.
There will be some exceptions and it probably makes more sense to share. Though some counties will tell you their home ground is one they never actually play at.

But why say convert to all seater if it was already all seater.

What they menat was upgrade the concrete 'seating' that previously was there though was often used as terracing, though was neither of the two really

What's the forecast for Saturday night lads and I don't mean on pitch?:D

Might sit in my favoured spot on the Mac Hale road side to prevent those dastardly poles obstructing my 20 20 vision!

It would be nice to have a team to pore over.

    Very interesting team.
He seems to be rotating the captaincy again this year for the league.
If we can keep with dublin and give them a good game with this team that will be a big positive.

I knew this would happen because of the kickkouts the last day. But still, ffs. Apart from that not bad! Subs bench will be interesting!

Not in favour of roating captains unless injured.

Yes,Captained minors and U21s the All Ireland wins as mentioned in post.

Every captain ever for Mayo had to have a first time.

Tom didnt play well up in Donegal but could well see action from the bench.

If it wasn't for hennelly in last years league meeting Dublin would have scored about 6 goals.

If it wasn't for Hennelly...................who knows

In fairness he did have a good league campaign last year. Not so good in the championship though.

The one player that stood out for us in the league game against Dublin last year was Ruane. He was side by side with Fenton for the night. He will be a massive loss for us on Saturday. Although i think Coen definetely has the legs and athleticism for Fenton.

Look, it's where things are at atm. It's a pointless debate now. Had Hennelly performed as Clarke did we all know the vitriol he would have faced. I have not heard one word about his performance. Clarke appears to be the only option between the sticks so we are going to have to live with it. 8/15 in the first half turned over and not forgetting the short one which should have resulted in a goal. Compare this to Patton, every time the camera came form the replay Donegal were half way up the pitch. To answer your question he has improved so they are obviously working on it but this is as good as it gets.

    Just reading mayo news now
    Interesting stat on this
Patton 15/19 so 79% I beleive he was 100% at HT
    Clarke 21/28 , 75%
So based on your stat above he was 100% second half then after the poor performers in midfield were subbed............

Anyway we are right where I expected us to be again when i seen the FBD panel
It’s madness and a real slight on Horans management imo

It’s hard develop a kickout strategy when you keep rotating 2 keepers with very differing styles

Also Robbie should be left to concentrate on goalkeeping and not brought up for 45s
    Great when they go over
Morale sapping when they don’t as the vast majority don’t

Interesting interview with 22 year old goalkeeper Paddy O Malley in mayo news also
    I’ll summarise
He still wants to play for mayo and would love to have been given the chance as even 3rd or 4th choice to “learn off the likes of Clarkey”
Also questions why keepers are not brought in as part of development squad to be coached...........

What has happened to Ruane? I watched him play the full game for NUIG recently. I can imagine having stood out 2nd half v Donegal that A O'Shea will start in midfield tomorrow night.

Looking at the Dublin team....we are in for a trimming, I'm afraid.

I fear the worst and to make things worse the weather ATM is pretty brutal.

Same is sure to gladden the cockles and mussels of our opponent's supporters.

I think it will be tighter than a lot of people think.....McHale Park doesn't suit the Dubs the same way it doesn't suit us
Need to nail all our frees

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,048 ✭✭✭Bunny Colvin

Who knows, it could be a scrappy enough affair with the conditions.

The plus is that we're sending out a youngish enough team again - who will benefit from the experience tonight and will have something to build on from last week.

What kind of crowd are we expecting in, 13k?Stand will be full early doors I'd imagine.

Surgery on his shoulder apparently-the one he dislocated last year.

I’m clearly a pessimist so - I saw the team named and figured we we’re going to get hammered
