What are the three shortest FE1's to study for? Doing a lot of writing over the summer and I don't mind any exam timetable, so if anyone has an opinion on three shortest to study for that would be appreciated. Thinking property, criminal and another?

Equity - overlaps with property so it's a natural choice.
Contract also overlaps with property and equity.

Also with the exam study periods I 100% agree no one can speculate on everyone else's pace or indeed their work or family commitments :)

Hey guys, does anyone know if the venue for Dublin will still be the redcow? or do we think they might move to a smaller venue if there's a big uptake for the Cork examination centre?

Would be very annoyed if they moved it now from the Red Cow tbh.

    Hi All,

Hoping to sit my first few exams this March. I was wondering if anyone could advise how to structure property law question 8 from the March 2019 exam questions? It asks to discuss two of the following areas: rights of residence, estoppel licences, or influence of equity in Irish Land Law.

Say I was going to do rights of residence. Should I talk about how the area has developed? Not sure what the best approach to take. I've been out of the exam mindset for several years.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow sufferers, the last time i took these exams was last March, and i got 44% in both Contract + Equity, both of which I will be repeating this sitting.

Im wondering if getting mark so close to a pass shows that I did have enough of the syllabus for both subjects already covered, but that i just didn't hit the points the examiner was looking for in the questions?

Im not really sure if i should cover any more of the 'less popular' topics, or if i should just stick with the notes i already have. If anyone has had a similar experience I would really appreciate any help on how to go about it!

    Hey guys,

I was lucky enough to be shown mercy by the Education Committee and am carrying over a pass from Oct, so now taking advantage of the extra time limit of the submission of my form and I've found myself having to choose between Equity and Tort for March.

I'd be really grateful for any anecdotal advice re these two topics, ie does one have a much heavier workload? Easier / harsher marker? Any intel would be so appreciated, thanks in advance.

I definitely recommend equity, tort course is much larger

Are legal professionals often examined in tort? Is it unreasonable to leave them and just cover medical?

Is anyone else having trouble with ordering past papers on LS website? I click into it and click view all and nothing comes up, I've also tried entering just a year or report and nothing... so annoying!

I had the same thing happen a few days ago. It righted itself after a few hours. Their website can be a bit temperamental at times.

For Constitutional the Independent manual has 434 pages but the City Colleges has 242 pages...

Anyone know how this is possible, Independent has a lot of unnecessary material?

    Hi,

Was anyone at the UCD constitutional law update session and want to share what cases they discussed? I wasn't able to make it so it would really help me out. Happy to swap material if you want to trade stuff for it

Anyone interested in sharing their scripts for Equity that passed?

I have scripts for tort and company to trade, I passed both. Just think it would be ver helpful to see what standard they are looking for a pass. Especially in equity, I'm really dreading it. Anyone have any tips for equity like if there are set topics that often are up or anything at all.

    Thanks 😊

Looking for an up to date equity grid if anyone has one! have stuff i can give in return, thanks!

    Constitutional Question

My manual is kind of confusing when I'm comparing with my grid. What chapter is fair procedures? Is it part of due process or is it unspecified rights? My grid says it comes up alot but it seems to be under both due process and unspecified rights in manual. Be grateful if anyone can explain which one comes up frequently, thanks!
