People that take to social media to abuse/criticise the local TD during the election season for the crime of being FG/FF.

I'm talking about career wasters, the long-term unemployed who claim to be 'Republican' but at the same time support an English football club.

And whats worse, after their lengthy tirade, usually full of grammatical errors too, they then endorse some complete non-entity running for one of those wacky parties.

Its like some paradoxical 'jobs for the boys' set-up.

I just don't understand how they feel its necessary.

The outrage over no female directors nominated for Oscars. Less than 10% of mainstream movies are directed by a woman. Why would this small amount get a nomination every year.

I don't get why people stop and read the McDonalds (or any fast food joint) menu in the drive through. It has the same stuff as last time Karen, and we know you're going to order the same thing anyway, so hurry the fup up and move on!

The excitement over the film Birdman. It's on TV now and I've been watching since the start. It's only grand imo. Great acting in it though.

I don’t get reality TV such as love island, Geordi shore and the like. Watching pillow faced inflated imbeciles bitching and backstabbing. Even more so that drag race show and the like. Complete and utter inane sh1te.

Why do we elevate these absolute morons to fame when really talented individuals with something to offer (skilled musicians, artists, scientists, teachers, philosophers etc.) rarely get a look in? You know, people who write meaningful books, create beautiful art or push back the mysteries of our universe.

Most of these reality TV people have no discernible talent whatsoever. Nothing to offer, nothing to teach the world. What are they actually getting paid for? It’s totally lost on me.

It says a lot about our society when people look at those idiots and think it’s something to aspire to.

Aaaaah, she got those documentaries after becoming prominent for, as mentioned before, fuck knows what.
Oh totally. Just mentioned it because they were interesting enough and I didn't find her that bad. No idea what she was known for before that though. Probably "influencer" kinda stuff, modelling and "networking".

I'd have to disagree to a certain point. Dubai is, for all intents and purposes, alien. It's the closest thing we have on Earth to an alien city. It has a soul but in my eyes, it's just not born of this planet.

As far as things I don't get, that would be Rammstein. Their music is over the top and absurd, without having any type of ironic or comedy value. Their lyrics are simplistic and idiotic, especially when you're a native German speaker, and their self-presentation is simply laughable.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

No way. Hubs and I have gone to a lot of stags and hens respectively over the last few years and the stags have been consistently way more extravagant. On my end, the hens have generally made a great effort to make it affordable for everyone and it’ll be a night or two or sometimes just an evening with no overnight stay.

Hubs, on the other hand, has had to travel out of the country for every single stag party and they’ve been two nights usually or even three. A friend of his is getting married in the US this summer (missus-to-be is American) and he is having his stag in Spain. I just can’t get over that. So much expense.

Definitely not just a female thing.

Remember son ... today is a very special day and you will always remember it

But I’m not getting married until tomorrow dad

    Dad says .... I know son ....

Reality TV. Have never watched it. Don't plan to.
U2. Ed Sheeran. Taylor Swift and the rest.

    Meryl Streep. Overrated imo.
    The hype around Christmas.

    Cars. Driving. Alcohol.

My sister met her at Electric Picnic over a decade ago before she was known. She remembered her because of her unusual name. Said she was a really nice, friendly girl. Offered sis and her fella... refreshments.

Never mind the shows themselves but the gossiping about them outside of that. Reminds me of someone I know who is a total soap addict, and used to read the tv guide to "find out what was going to happen next". :p

That every letter in the english alphabet has one syllable except W.

That the help to buy scheme is only for new builds. I.mean I understand why, but the fact of it annoys me, since we are saving for our first house but because we don't want to buy a half a million euro semi D on a commuter belt somewhere, we don't get a little bit off.

    Mondays.

I wouldn't be arsed spending big money on a phone, but those foldable ones do look damn cool!

Maybe i'll get one as a hand me down in 2 or 3 years:D

Well it is the only double!

World wide web, contains only one third of the syllables of it's "abbreviation".

A lot of people are attention seekers. I don't get people posting a lot on any of them. Really weird.
