I'll possibly think of moving mine on later this year too. The newer model is growing on me despite reservations about the look at the rear.

The c8? I've no reservations about it at all. Although no nicer on the outside, very similar really. I'm thinking of an avant for my next car now. Although I really don't know what to do

Yeah, the C8. Notice a few of them knocking around these days and they look good alright. Probably wait till next year to see if I can get fleeced buying a 2 year old one....

Recently took delivery of a 182 C8, the interior is a massive step up. Very very impressed.

Interior is beautiful. Is it full leather or half leather?

Sat into one recently and agreed, the interior is superb. Maybe the best of it's class right now. If I had the funds, a new A6 3.0 TFSI would be my dream car.

It's the full leather. I use CarPlay for all my navigation and music so haven't used MMI much but it's a nice place to be.

I'm coming from a C7 and its quite the step up even though I loved that car.

I did drive one and its quite the leap forward with the interior tech. The salesman quite obviously kept telling me it was a much better driving car and better built but I didn't think it was, it felt the same to me, which is fine. So no step up in driving but my god the tech is great. Extremely impressive cabin and dashboard.

Funny enough he offered me 25k for my car which is the subject of this thread against a brand new A6 S Line with the tech pack and 1 or 2 options I said I'd like I can't even remember what they were but the list price was 60k.

So it was 35k to change I'd say realistically he was offering me 20k but he had the 5k to play around with.

I think when I can change into a c8 that I like for somewhere under 20k I will make the jump.

Yeah the drive is very similar. The c7 is still a cracking car, it's just a little dated interior wise.

How is the driver footwell/pedal set up in the C8? Real Achilles heel in the C7. I wouldn't consider the C8 if it was not significantly improved over the C7.

Havent noticed a problem with my c7, what do you refer to?

I'll probably move this on in next couple of months in favour of the newer model, maybe a 182 or a 191. Just wondering what people think mine is worth, I'm going to try the private sale route initially.
It's an automatic, black car with black edition pack, full leather, 80000kms or 50000 miles, bodywork perfect, no issues with it, imported into Ireland at 3 months old back in 2014 and I'm the second Irish owner. 2.0 litre diesel.

Going by my own advice I often give a car halves in value every 3 years so I believe this is somewhere in the ballpark of a 60k list price car here when new so at 6 years old I feel its probably a quarter of its original value at 15k or 5th thereabouts. Very few available at that mileage so wondering if it might be worth more than that in anyone's opinion

I accept private sales at this price point are tricky

Is the mileage that unusually low? Still almost 15k kms a year.

It's one of those things that most dont notice but some do. The accelerator pedal is off to the far right and set kinda forward plus theres an ingress into the drivers footwell from the transmission tunnel that limits space. It's due to the conversion from LHD.

Most dont notice it but I'm one of the people who do and it causes me discomfort. It's the only thing I dont like about the C7.

In something like an A6 it is about half the average looking at what's for sale at 5 to 6 years old.

Just checked there, there's 109 Audi A6 from 2014 for sale on donedeal.
Just 9 have 80000kms or less.
So I guess that yeah it's pretty low.
I'm putting about 20k kms a year on it so should stay in the lower end for a while yet

Havent noticed any dislike myself, I'll take notice in the morning. I find it very comfortable ergonomically
