I always assumed that it wasn’t a natural skin like a normal sausage but I’m not sure. Never liked them anyway.

Most commercial sausages have artificial skins, anyway. Only fancy butcher other high end sausages would have natural casings.

I don't understand the universal hatred of Dermot Bannon.
I've met him a number of times - he's a really nice guy. Never minded him on the telly before I met him, either.

We agree again, Ok I’d disagree with his opinion at times but I really enjoy watching room to improve.

No one with jet black hair would still have it at like that naturally at his age.

Not one grey hair in sight.

    Arteta is 37.

And Gerrard is 39. Both a long way from mid 40’s.

Don’t get why it’s hard to understand why many men retain good hair into later life also.

I know two retired gents both with excellent heads of hair. One grey but no male pattern baldness, the other his hair has turned a light brown color from dark. Both of them swear by Olive Oil as their daily routine. Massaging into the scalp in evenings. Bit messy but thats what they say.

I know people who had no greys well into their 40s and, in one case, 50s. And the 50-something got fed up of people making jokes about boot polish.

    Skinless sausages.
Wtf are they supposed to be?
They still seem to have a skin - just a horrible shrivelled skin.

Are they still a thing? Growing up my brother would only eat skinless and I wouldn't touch them, hated them.

The men on my mothers side of the family all have hair like this, no thinning hair never mind baldness and colour maintained long past most people. I’ve been lucky enough to get my hair from her so I’ll always have a thick head of hair and not a sign of even one grey hair yet in my mid 30’s.

But, but... you can microwave normal rashers too. My mother does it if she's strapped for time. They come out pink/uncooked looking, but still edible.

Yes but they dont say "microwaveable" on the pack so therefore the ones that do are special ;)

Protein milk is another food thing I dont get. We know milk has protein. We also know we dont actually need it for protein (and I'm no vegan!) but this whole dairy council spin about protein milk I just dont get it. Grown men working out and drinking "protein milk" after to build up their abs or whatever. It's just milk!

Jesus, pal, I always had you down as a fella who likes 12 cans of Karpackie of a Tuesday afternoon. Apologies if I have the wrong impression.

There is a massive cohort of drinkers that need to get a bit riddled once they pick up a pint. They can't pick up a pint and not have another 6.

    Buying still water in shops:confused:
I sometimes see people leaving Aldi with gallons of still water. Sure that stuff comes out of your tap. Why are you hauling it home from a shop in a plastic container.

Sparkling Water ok thats fine you cant make that at home but still water? Why

Cause it tastes nicer than the water out of the tap, doesn't taste of chlorine either ...

Congrats on spectacularly missing the point of my post John !

I am very partial to a good swallow at any time of the day and indeed a substantial intake of an arternoon is an attractive proposition.

What I don't get pal is the SWITCHING...Gulling down strong beverage for Nov and Dec and going on cordial for Jan and Feb. ???

    Capice ?

People who do the decent thing by picking up their dog's poo but then fling the bag in the hedge or hang it on a tree. Why??

One of the great mysteries of Ireland. Big bag of sh*te tied to a fence.

Some people put the poop in a bag and put it out of sight so they can pick it up on the way back, instead of having to carry the bag for the whole of the walk.
I think a lot of the hedgebaggers dimly understand the first stage, but cannot grasp the deep complexity of the second.

That, or they are just dirty, lazy scummy people.

The big hard on for Queen's performance at Live Aid which I am actually old enough to remember and watched on the day- I was rightly pissed off that the whole day of kids programmes was cancelled on RTE 2.

Yeah sure they gave a good 20 mins but really what did people expect? It was not much different to other performances IMO. They were in the middle of a tour anyway so on form.

Tap water isn't the same all over the country. Where I am, it used to be lovely but after changing the source of the supply a few years ago, it's definitely different. It's drinkable but not as nice.

When I was in Iceland a few years ago, a local was talking about the great quality of their tap water, filtered through the natural volcanic rock. Sounded great until I tried it. I'm sure it was healthy enough but the stench of sulphur wasn't the best.

Having said all that, I don't buy bottled water too much either. And if you want sparkling water at home, why don't you just buy a SodaStream? ;)

When I lived in Offaly I needed to buy bottled water for boiling in the kettle as the hardness of the water would destroy it is a couple of weeks. I drank the water from the tap though.

Dishwasher/washing machine lasted half as long as they should have.

'I don't get' that I thought living in Offaly was ever a good idea.

People paying a fortune to lay on beach baking themselves in the Sun for a couple of weeks -- not only do I not 'get it' I think it's quite weird.

I can kind of see that attraction there, but what I really don't get is the fake tan. Also fake nails and fake eye brows. It's like there's no appreciation for natural beauty anymore.

Paying 40 a month for 100 Meg broadband or whatever is crazy.
I have 8 Meg as part of my phone package
I fail to see what advantage this has.
Oh look I can download an app in 2 seconds. You have to wait 30
    I mean good grief
