Atlanta are the much better team this second half and wouldnt be surprise if they win

Handanovič has to be the best goalies in the world for saving peno's

    The guy is unreal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Huge peno save that from Handanovic. Poor from Bastoni to give it away.

Ends 1-1. Roma vs Juve will be interesting tomorrow. Juve win moves them two points ahead.

Watching the highlights of the Lazio/Napoli game. Really like that anniversary kit Lazio wore.

    Teams for Roma vs Juve:
Roma XI: Lopez; Florenzi, Mancini, Smalling, Kolarov; Diawara, Veretout; Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Perotti; Dzeko.

Juventus XI: Szczesny; Cuadrado, Demiral, Bonucci, Sandro; Rabiot, Pjanic, Matuidi; Ramsey; Dybala, Ronaldo.

Big test for Chris Smalling tonight. Demiral continues to keep out De Ligt which I think is deserved.

I'll say Juve to edge it.

    Demiral scores! Nice finish.

Not a fan of these kits the two sides are wearing.

Roma 10mins have thrown the match away already

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

2-0 Juve inside ten minutes. Ronaldo from the spot. Suicidal defending from Roma as Veretout gets his pocket picked by Dybala and concedes the pen.

    Long way back already.

Looked like Demiral did in his knee with that landing. He wanted to carry on but De Ligt replaces him. Hope Demiral hasn't done major damage there. Would be dreadful luck after making the first team spot his own. He walked off by himself so hopefully he just jarred it.

Edit: Now Zaniolo gone down seemingly with a knee injury after a fantastic solo burst. He's in tears on the ground. This looks a bad one.

That was a really entertaining first half

If Roma can get a goal back, this will be an epic 2nd half

Also i can understand why there's Premier League scouts to watch Diawara, he's very impressive

Looked like a handball from Sandro there to me. Dzeko with a great effort before that.

And the pen is given. Perotti converts it for 2-1. Game on.

    Lovely Roma score

This could be an unreal ending to this game now

Ends 2-1 to Juve as they go top by two points. Big result for Sarri's side. Hope those injuries to Demiral and Zaniolo don't turn out to be serious.

Be a damn shame if Zaniolo ends up with a bad knee injury. He looks like a smashing prospect whenever I have seen him.

Sadly both Zaniolo and Demiral's injuries turned out to be serious:
Nicolo Zaniolo will have surgery on Monday after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during Roma’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus. The winger, who is a pivotal part of both the Roma and Italy teams, will miss the rest of the Serie A season and will likely miss the European Championships, with the meniscus in his right knee also said to be damaged.

Juventus’ defender Merih Demiral suffered an identical injury after jumping for a high ball. The 21-year-old was taken for tests on Monday morning, where Juve doctors confirmed the injury. It is a bitter blow for Turkey, with whom Demiral has been superb through qualifying, forming a defensive partnership with Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu.

Really saddened to hear that. Two players with so much to look forward to in 2020 and in a matter of minutes it's all changed.

Belter of a goal from Boga in Sassuolo's win over Torino.

He provided an assist as well. Think Chelsea should activate that buy back clause.

Gattuso will be very lucky to be manager of Napoli after tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

That kid crying showed more passion than Napoli have as a club for the last 18 months.
They can sack Gattuso but that won't change much in the long run for them. Napoli are like a poor man's Spurs now. Lads underperforming, a few over-inflated ego's & others who are over the hill. Have absolutely nothing to show for the last few years either.

How Insigne keeps starting is bewildering. The guy has been awful for some time now.

He has far to much power at the club, one of the rotten apples at the club

Why they hired Gattuso in the first place is beyond me, was never going to work out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

He doesn't look a good fit and they've got Lazio and Juve next in the cup and league respectively.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,832 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

You thought Ac Milan have turned a corner as it seemed a great comeback against Udinese but that fragility is still there

It's terrible defending with only minutes to hang on at the time

    edit

with seconds to go Milan score to win

    wow a great second half

Bad draw for Inter that, Juve can get 4 ahead tonight now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

That's an awful result. Can't afford any more of these slip-ups. Just hope they haven't already blown it.

Inter up to their old tricks, new manager, new players, same old turgid Inter - very disappointing.

The likes of Ashley Young, Moses & Giroud aren't exactly the missing pieces in that squad if they are brought in. They need more quality in it, not cheap cast offs from the premier league.

Wow this is a bit of a shocker in Italy tonight so far.

    Atlanta 1 -2 Spal
