What will the children be like?

Diversity - is that going to be the mantra?

The children (will) have a massive chip on their shoulders for their host country and its natives...

That's actually a scary mindset you have there.

I was actually just articulating what i thought the legal situation would be and not my personal opinion, i was obviously completely wrong, the actual act has been quoted and i accept that

These people don't see the woods for the trees all they want is more more and more.

And they will get it. Look what happened in the UK when the lunatics ran the asylum and what has happened since.

Should gather about 10 homeless families off the streets and take them to Higgins other homes and put them up there being as he always lectures others on being compassionate to migrants dressed up as refugees.

    I wonder what would happen.

We'll, they're welcome to fcuk off, just like I'm also welcome to fcukoff if I don't like Ireland and just like many others did

For criminal punishment, a crime needs to have been committed. I'm sure they can be denied the protection they are looking for in Ireland, for not 'playing ball' while here if that's deemed necessary.

Pretty pointless really as it sounds like 6 have to share a bedroom anyway. The reality is bad enough and this attempt to make it appear worse still is self-defeating
There are 71 people in 19 rooms, so less than 4 per room on average, with no more than 6 to a room, probably for a larger room. That's not too hard to figure out.

you would see more beds crammed into a room on a stag weekend. whats the big deal?, they are asylum seekers not on a Mediterranean cruise, they are lucky to be here.

Fair play to you for accepting that.
Others, especially on this particular topic, spout their views as fact, and when shown otherwise (repeatedly and from varied sources), they either run away from the truth and deny the reality.

That is the whole nature of a bulletin board like this; we all learn new things on it, and when we are wrong we are put right (thankfully). It is a learning experience.

The direct provision system baffles me. It is absurd.
Arrive here undocumented without a shirt on your back or a penny to your name and you end up in a direct provision centre with cooked meals, clothing, a bed and a roof over your head.

Meanwhile a citizen who falls on hard times is given the option of sleeping in a doorway or kipping in a hostel where they're likely to be accosted and subjected to anti social behaviour on a regular basis.

At a minimum, a homeless person should be offered access to direct provision.

I very much think it should be noted on their file when it comes to assessing their claim for international protection.

We want people of good character right? This in my view does not display good character.

Precisely, we don’t want people who go to dishonest lengths to further their goals. It’s not behavior of good character, it’s disingenuous... that we can do without.

    How about attempted fraud?

Those who moved their beds in order to stage this should be left in this windowless room. Perhaps then they may start to appreciate what they had before they acted the rollocks.

Im sure they were hoping for the same success that Margaret Cash achieved with her staged photo .Maybe they should hire her as a campaigner/adviser.

Nah i dont have any suggestions. So lets be clear you think they should be punished but dont know how? Typical. On what legal grounds do you think this punishment could be administered?

I dont have all the answers. There are lots on here that do.
But one thing is sure people shouldn't bite the hand that's feeding them and giving them shelter.

Saw this. I'm glad that at least for once news outlets aren't taking events at face value and questions are being asked, it doesn't happen particularly often.

and the same scrutiny would never be invested where it needs to be
