Official FPL Twitter have it as Tammy assist.

Two clean sheets gone already but Grealish goal is pleasing after so many got rid.

Wow. With Pope playing and Grealish benched, this is miraculous.

That is harsh on Grealish owners, but I'll take it.

    same, first sub though

I sold Grealish this week, though I would have had him as my first sub had I not done so. I also have Pope as my keeper, so hearing there was a goal hurt on a few levels. Thank you, VAR (for now at least). Abraham assist is a nice boost.

i think it might be the end for Burnley. if you can't rely on them to keep it tight against muck, there is no point in them whatsoever.

Villa score again.. grealish assist to Wesley

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,143 ✭✭✭Pete_Cavan

Didn't think it was possible but VAR keeps finding ways to get more farcical! As a Pope owner that decision suits me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,952 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    that was coming

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,404 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Villa could hammer Burnley here. didn't see this coming.

Grealish is very impressive in this game.. everything goes through him.

It is, but the FA have got themselves in a mess, they have moved away from what VAR is to be used for "clear and obvious" as per IFAB guidelines.

But given that they are adopted this forensic approach, they have to continue it for the rest of the season, otherwise they could be open to all sorts of challenges from teams who lost points because of those decisions.

With VAR there is now a definite need to change the offside rule... The suggestion from souness is the best I have heard tbh..

    No assist given to Grealish

it does. but i can't overstate how bad they have been. i went team form over fixtures by benching him. what can you do?

He didn't get an assist so you're decision is currently correct

as a Pope owner, the only good thing about this is that he could rack up saves like a king.

You not what my favourite part is of this entire process where goals are consistently being ruled out by mm, the fact that the ball being passed is never in any frame. Nor do they have anything like the technology to get the exact details of when exactly the ball is struck to the millisecond.

The whole thing is complete and utter nonsense and unless there's going to be a massive upgrade in camera technology, plus chip technology for the position of the ball and all players, these mm offside calls are complete nonsense.

I thought at the start of the season VAR would be a joke and they simply weren't equipped for it. It is way beyond a bag of sh*the at this stage though. I'd gladly go back to watching Henry punching balls left right and centre and getting away with it, just to never have to look at that stupid feckin VAR screen again.

Could do with a Dunk attacking return

As a Pope and Heaton owner guess which one I chose. To be honest bother keepers are toxic but not sure what to do without tying up funds.

Might go fabianski and a 4m keeper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,404 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Grealish will get it. It's cut and dry as far as I can see.

Pope over Heaton gonna be a kick in the nuts for me I think

Wesley has been given the goal though, is it a clear assist?

Pope seems to be a problem, but every time I look at who to bring him in for, he seems to be one clean sheet off the top goalkeeper. Are GK's particualrly **** this year?
