    Draw not until tomorrow night??

    4 tickets...not one winner.

If I bought 442,000 tickets I'd still lose.

We had two tickets bought in syndicate at work. Back on Monday - will keep the dream alive until then...

Got 2 from my mam for xmas , one for me and one for the missus. Typically the missus won 500 and I won jack.
I presume the 500 can be collected from gpo with id etc..
Good luck to anyone who hasn't checked theirs yet.
I think I'll be getting some of these next year.
What a great start to the new year!!

    From the lotto website:

“ Prizes up to and including €100 can be claimed at any National Lottery Agent. Agents may pay higher prizes (up to and including €2,500) at their discretion.”

They also get a (small) commission if they do cash it so a local shop may appreciate the custom.

Got one as a present nothing on it.

As expected just 1 out of every 82 tickets (1.2%) sold will win (x15.5 more likely to be the lower prize 500, than any other).
This does not represent a 'value event', or display any punter favourability. Prize pool allocation was less than 40% of total sales revenue.

However if have cash to burn and don't mind helping retired Teachers over in Canada stay warm, and a little bit going to more locally bases good causes and some corporate running costs, grand so.

We get it, you are a master better. 34.67% of the posts on here are telling us that. It’s even odds that you’ll tell us again in your next few posts.

It’s a bit of fun at the end of the year, probably a large proportion aren’t regular gamblers.

    Last line just snarky sh.

95% of posts, are actually saying they won nothing this year, after multiple ticket purchases, likely the same story as last year, and year before.

They will also do the same next year, so best to be 100% informed of the scenario, odds and prize distribution before doing so if expecting any windfall. If fully aware and still decide to purchase, fair enough.

There is the odd exception, like the one person (of only 30) who said they won 5k, again this was from 450,000 (or more) ticket sales (€11.25m+).
