Only 2 months NCT, but they're just asking for €250. Same owner since 2010. If there are only 164,000 genuine miles on the odometer you'd get another 100,000 out of her.

This yoke has definitely seen better days, but shouldn't scrub up too bad
Heated seats perfect for the next couple of months
    2005 Saab 9-5 2.2 Tid
About 6 weeks NCT left and nearly 2 months tax!
Asking €300 (The tax for 3 months alone is €268) so you're getting the car for a little over 100 quid!

That’s a nice and genuine ad too. You can even see it’s replacement in the background

Yeah. That was actually what I spotted first and then read it in the description.

Bit low, it would be an alright buy for a few months over Christmas if the ride height could be adjusted easily

The saab hasn't (you can check on ncts - if it's been through and failed it will direct you to book a retest whereas if it hasnt been through it will direct you to a periodic test)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,621 ✭✭✭Mad_Mike

The Saab went quick anyway. Was in touch early this morning and he had a viewer already lined up and messaged me immediately afterwards just to let me know it was gone.

Jesus that Merc is well and truly slammed to the floor!!!

Those have airmatic suspension in them, it’s not slammed on coil springs. It’s pure scrap as the pump is blown. Airmatic pump is fairly expensive to replace and the airmatic shocks are €1000 a corner IIRC

Not if it brought in 6 weeks ago you'd be back to the periodic test again

Not saying that's the case at all

Could it be possible that its been fiddled with to make it adjustable

    Rover 45. 1.4 petrol. NCT July 2020

    Asking €350. Carrick on Suir.

High mileage but ticks a lot of boxes if receipts are present.

€300, NCT till February, at least you wouldn't need a disguise driving it anyway. Ad doesn't give much away though.

    Test till July
Asking €250 but a face to face haggle with cold hard cash should see a chunk go off that

I remember when lads would get a reserved plate like 96LS110 because it was 110bhp, like that was a lot.
    Simpler times.

This has been taunting me the last while, originally for sale for €1150 then reduced to €750 and went off Donedeal, then it’s after coming back up for sale in the last few days for €550.

I don’t know if it’s after devolving a major fault or failing the NCT spectacularly.

Either way the asking isn’t that much, the tax is €300 per quarter, having owned one previously they are lovely old things to waft around in.

Someone please talk me into/out of buying it please.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,074 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

Was looking at that myself, it's lovely. Black on black is a great combination, right engine, 1 owner etc. Well worth buying!

It was driven as a taxi for a period (card holder is still on the dashboard above the Centre vents)

And there was a change of ownership on the 23rd of November this year.

I’m still 50/50 on it. The fuel consumption and tax doesn’t bother me.
