Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like new Zealand, good honest lads who didn't get everything handed to them by Mammy and Daddy. No playboys, Just hard work

Wonderful to see NZ giving the "team of us " from "rugby country" a lesson in a real game. The practice game wins that oirland were bragging about don't count. This oirish team has never gotten past the the last 8 in a 9 team comical " World Cup competition. Glorious stuff.

    Well that went fairly sh*t.

Hopefully will put an end to all the execrable bandwagon hopping rugby theme ads.

I have no interest in rugby but the fans of the Irish team are nauseating. Nary a hint of graciousness in victory and the ultimate sore losers in defeat.

Nary a "top shagger" amongst them.

I don't get the property developers thing.

There was a photo of lots of Irish fans in the stadium during the Scotland or Japan game and someone captioned it:

    'spot your landlord'.

I’m delighted that team of elitists are out of that shambles of a tournament.

No 1 in the world 😂😂😂

Let the blame game begin in earnest

The moaning and hoping we would be beaten started at nine this morning. Before the match

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,731 ✭✭✭jam_mac_jam

Imagine how miserable you have to be to want your own team to be beaten. Ffs

Outrageous. Seems some people just don’t want england to stroll into the final.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 342 ✭✭daveorourke77

The downside is that there will at least a mimimum three day post mortem into what happened. I expect that the band wagon jumpers like Marian Finucane and Ivan Yates will ensure that this is discussed every 5 minutes until at least Tuesday evening.

The upside is that once the pretend rugger bugger idiots stop talking through their gickbag we will be able to go back to ignoring the most boring sport ever invented.

May be some unrealistic expectations (like beating Georgia) but I don’t think they’re overrated. The real similarities are in defensive focus / lack of passing ability

Plenty of us play it as well as follow it so like and understand it just fine.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,611 ✭✭✭iebamm2580

Rugby team ranked 4/30, soccer team ranked 28/210, funnily both exactly in the same position percentage wise as being in the top 13.33%, so maybe the media might start being a bit more positive about the soccer team and being a bit(alot)less positive about the rugby team, had enough of joe molloy and off the ball crew every night talking about rugby for an hour with the past 4 years, they might change up the programme a bit now, only so much of keith wood and brian o driscoll a man can listen to.
