Gals with and/or without makeup?

    There's entire internet forums dedicated to trashing gals who use makeup to enhance their attractive leverage.

    I don't want to turn this thread into something like that.

    But, sometimes I can't help but marvel at basically, the effect it has on me personally.

    A well made up face can make up go weak at the knees.

    It can be the difference between me saying, "AW LAWD!!", or, "meh...." - I kid you not.

    Is it just me?

    Is it just poorer quality skin that's a turn off?

    Or the makeup that's a turn on?

    'Splain it to me;

    Help me understand?

    Some girls aren’t pretty and can make it seem like they are using makeup. Others are and don’t really need any.

    Prefer little make up myself.

    A heavily made up face like it was applied with a trowel is very off putting for me.

    Also, the make up has to come off at some stage.

    I've seen one particular 'influencer' in person. Wouldn't look at her twice. Should see her mush on Instagram though.

    Hate make up. It's so false. I don't mind a small bit, but so much so that it makes a women look like a completely different person, no.

    Have never used make up because I never learned. Wish I had. Am pretty sure it couldn't make me look any worse.

    And some are not and still don't use make up.
    Actually scrap that. Not a girl any more, haven't been called a girl this millennium. (**** me I am old)

    Think it depends on the girl. Honestly, I think some girls actually look worse with makeup on.. and make their skin look really dry and cakey and orange sometimes. But some girls are very talented at it, and know which features of theirs personally that need to be played up or down with makeup, and can really make themselves look amazing for nights out

    I think heavy foundation just looks absolutely awful though, on everyone. If a girl has really bad skin, yeh it can improve it, but I dont get the trend at all of girls with naturally nice skin just plying on mountains of foundation for no reason, you see it a lot. The whole idea of foundation is to even out the skin tone, if you already have that, then applying it just makes your skin look artificial for no reason. The trend of putting a big splodge of brown countour is also an odd one, may look good in photos but very often just looks like a dirty cheek in real life

    It's the Kardashian-Addams family to blame for a whole lot of it.

    Some girls need it to stop us males going back to the days of public stonings and trumping up charges against them.

    Some girls are made feel like they need it by magazines and marketing even though they don’t.

    Some girls treat it like a hobby and give two or three hours a day to it.

    From what I understand, it's not rocket science.

    I know there's shops that actually specialize in applying makeup but, if they can put men on the moon - I'm confident chicks can apply their own makeup.

    To me, it depends on the personality.

    If it fits, and the makeup works...... AW LAWD SAVE ME!!

    I can see how some chicks, heavy makeup just wouldn't "work" though.

    I casually hooked up with this little cutie one time - seriously turned me on.
    Seen her without makeup a few weeks after.

    I just couldn't get revved up for her....

    Wasn't happening.

    :confused:

    Assuming you're either a female or a gay dude - your comments seem well informed.

    What's the mechanics of make up application?

    "....very talented at it....."??

    I never considered it a special ability but, of course I know less that squat about it.

    What's the typical make up routine?

    Primer - foundation - concealer - spray setter.....?

    Some chicks makeup their mouth also - don't know what that's comprised of;
    Lipstick?
    Gloss?

    Whatever it is I'm like, "dayum - you got a purty mouth!!"

    Eek! Surely that can't be true.

    I was as shocked as you are.

    But my "turned on" neurons just couldn't fire.

    I wanted them to, LAWD KNOWS I wanted them to - but there was just no response out of them.

    Rare enough I'd imagine, though years ago I knew one woman who looked scarily different sans make up. Two different people different and not in a good way at all. I could imagine a guy only knowing her with getting a shock when first seeing her without. Actually I've known a few who looked better without it, though to be fair that's more likely down to my personal preference for little or no make up. Not into the plucked and preened and polished, with hooker heels, push up this and suck in that look at all. Bit of a turn off actually.

    Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

    The face is a massive facet, about the biggest one.

    I know, right?

    That's partly why I made this thread.

    I need to understand it.

    She had the personality - LAWD KNOWS she had the body, had the attitude - everything.

    But when I saw her face without the glamour;

    Put it this way - when I see it, WITH the glamour??

    Pfffff

    Mind = blown.

    But without - I dunno, just feels like a passion killer.

    But let me be clear; this was exclusively a "hook up and get down" type of deal.
    No windy walks.
    No holding hands.
    Not even a quick sandwich together for Christ sakes.

    And yeah - no makeup?

    ....

    :confused:

    This day and age(Christ I'm old just uttering that phrase)we met ladies in bars and festivals. It didn't matter how they looked on the outside. But what was attractive was their confidence,humor,and outlook on life. Now it's all about how they look on the outside, no matter how shallow they are on the inside. Younger generation has no idea what a real woman is.

    ****! Maybe women are different but a guy's face would be way down my list. Ok if he smiles is a big one. Is that his face?
    Definitely shoulders/arms be ahead
    And personality........current guy I am in love with it's all personality. Not my type at all, not classically attractive but when he smiles at me I go weak.
    Bad news is he doesn't know and I am too scared to tell him.

    I think its a talent, like artwork on your face. Takes steady hand, attention to detail, colour co ordination, knowledge of products, how to apply them,when to..I dont think there would be paid make up artists if some werent more 'talented' at makeup than others! Yeh Im a guy but I find those video transformations so fascinating to watch!
