No, a regular i30 being tailed by a C220 merc, and they did nothing.

Still possible was detectives maybe, they tend to not bother.

Still though they should at least throw on the lights.

Perhaps escorting the Merc but not serious enough to warrant blues and twos?

Send that to the Gardai and to the driving instructor company I'm sure they'd love to follow that up.

Did the car driver even attempt to meet and talk with the cyclist?

Indeed, this is probably one of the most dangerous vids I've seen on here. Definitely worth reporting.

Probably on the phone or otherwise distracted and didn't spot the 2 cars stopped in front of them until the last minute and had to swerve around.

    Definitely report that.

Notice how hard he has to brake....unnecessarily dangerous

    Hello,
If I post my videos here, is there any chance that the Garda will follow the footage and proceed on the "probable" guilty driver ?

    Absolutely not.

So, whats the point then.only for amusement ?
I had a guy couple of days ago, crossing left & right lanes on motorway and pulling fingers in front of me.
Can I send it to Garda or up it here ?

You can, they won't do anything, excepting some outrageous bit of driving.

Report to traffic watch if it warrants it.

It's a 1890 number and a Garda will get in contact with you.

It is up to you how they proceed as you are the witness and may well need to go to court.

I've called for numerous reasons over the years but only when it was actually so dangerous it was shocking what the other drivers had done.

I was in court twice as they needed me to state what happened.

The one that disappointed me with no action was a Ready Chef van in Dublin city centre driving the wrong side of George's st while flooring it through a red light with pedestrians crossing and he had to cross over 2 lanes to do this....

I saved the person crossing as I was 2 vehicles back but blasted my horn and they stopped as they turned to see this van at speed.

The Guard said it would be a hard conviction as it was my word against his and he had little English but he would tell him he can't drive like that. There was CCTV footage from the vehicle I was driving but he wasn't interested.

Were you hogging the middle or overtaking lane by any chance?

Yeah, can't figure out why he wouldn't to be honest.

IMO the cyclist was going too fast, and had his hands on the drop bars rather than covering the brake as he should do in traffic - but the driver couldn't know that I guess.

I think the cyclist was happy enough to get away from it too. Even a 50:50 liability split (which would be unfair on the car driver given the circumstance) would see the cyclist out of pocket.

Minor enough, but put the ****s up me. They ended up very close to me and likely would have hit if I hadn't hit the brakes hard.

Plenty of room in front of you also, a bit OTT in your reaction to be honest and uneccesarily agressive.

The van merging speed was too fast and ended up too close to the car in front. Thats what I see as the issue.

Had a hire car in America during the summer and there was a little orange triangle on both side mirrors, which would light up if there was anything in your blind spot.
Never seen these before but I thought they where brilliant. Especially as they overtake on both sides over there.

You can get the on some cars here too. Very handy and should be standard.
