Well done Japan thoroughly deserved. Ireland need more foreigners to succeed. Embarrassing stuff. Shame on them all.

    That poll is hilarious lol

Lots of goys puking into their Heinos now.

Well done Japan. They gave us so little ball and territory

Lads there only so much you can blame the ref for.

Ireland have been piss poor. That team should be doing a hell of a lot better than it is.

You have no concept of the benefits of momentum and field position I'd say

And Ireland have had no concept of the offside line or the practice of supporting your own body weight.

We’ve been getting away with dark arts for years and Gardner has caught us. We’ve had no answer to it and we can’t have any complaints. It was an awful performance

Well done Japan. Fully deserved. Don’t let it slip vs Scotland now.

Rotten performance. The ref was one eyed but Ireland should win a game like this regardless.

    Good job from Japan.

Anyway I'm out of this thread. Toodles.

    Jesus fücking christ.

Biggest world cup upset of all time.

No the Japan SA game was much bigger

Not even the guts to try to get a score there.

    Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

Selection and tactics all wrong. Carty was terrible. Bench offered nothing.

Says it all that we kicked it out on the full to save the losing bonus point rather than keep playing.

Great result. We would have taken a LBP against the mighty Japanese

    Ban billionaires

    Well done Japan

That kick out after the gong typified the game for Ireland, poor decision making, just not up to the usual standard

Fair play to them they are a savage team. I thought we looked pretty flustered for a lot of the game but the World Cup isn’t over yet. The ref gave us nothing but we didn’t deserve to win anyway.

Hanging on for a losing bonus point against Japan says it all

Ireland were genuinely awful but that referee should never be allowed anywhere near another match.

A smart decision honestly. We were only going to lose a point. There was zero chance of us scoring a try.

Wow, can't say it was undeserved.
We didn't play after Kearney's try.

Protecting the bonus point. Right thing to do given the shambles around him.

Embarrassing to not try chase the game at the end. All blacks would push for the draw

Is it the wrong time to ask, what's the point of Kleyn in the squad?

We were never going to get a try from there, but were likely to lose the losing bonus point.

Ireland haven’t scored for an hour🙈possibly the greatest embarrassment for Irish sport Ireland were 1/20 to win the match

Easily. Though a lot aren't Irish. But still.

Absolute shower Ireland. No fitness no shape no leadership. Same old story. I'd honestly pack up now. New Zealand will murder us (if we qualify). Haven't scored since the 20th minute.

Taken a losing bonus pt . We hadnt scored in an hour . We were hardly going to score from our own line . We were out in our feet at the end

Yeah, really seemed they clamped down on a few things Ireland normally excel at, such as the bridge at breakdown.

Hugely entertaining match, and you'd have to say the best team won. Was great, positive rugby from Japan.

    Useless chunts, a shambles.

Fair play to Japan and they better bow to the crowd.

Useless ****, they should be sent home.
