Bedside. After walking 11km of exploration in Lisbon. My folks recommended a bar to check out near where I had dinner. It was crazy awesome (picture only show a tiiiiiiinnny portion of it).. also their Black Russians had no cola, just vodka and tia Maria straight.. work with a fuzzy head is a possibility :D night folks!

Me too but not in a hotel room or in Kilkenny. I've been awake since 4am. This is most unusual.

Very upset. Ben is elderly, (9) and last night while out for our walk I noticed his back legs “slipping” or falling. I was a bit freaked out but afraid to google. Googled it there and it’s basically telling me my baby is dying. Degenerate myelopathy. I’m going to have to take him to the vet but I can’t face it.

Doctor google will always give worst case scenario Shoes, get to the vet, could be any amount of minor things too.

I hope so. He has arthritis but he didn’t seem to even notice or be in any pain last night when his little legs gave way.

Poor baby :( I’m convinced he talks to me. Last night when I took his lead off and he ran on ahead, he stands at corners waiting for me, he never goes around them alone. I said “hello” and he just continued on doing what he was doing, and then I said “Bye” and he yelped and ran back towards me.
He always barks back for “I love you” too.

They said over in pets that it’s unlikely to be in a collie. Really hope so.
Grem dogs are the best. And cows. Cows are basically big dogs.

...she came up to me later and I just took her by the hand, I told her all my troubles and she seemed to understand....

    Morning all,

It's a mostly clear one this morning 12C

Kitchenside with coffee, it's rapidly getting to that time of the year where I have to defy the darkness to have breakfast without the lights on

I feel ya shoes! Alfie is eleven & a half now, arthritis in 3 legs, front one very bad. He limps a lot on it now. Have to keep him on a lead because he just runs everywhere when he's not.... Then pays for it later.
It's terrible to see them get old....

Kids. Kids are fine today..... How does that happen!! :)

Do you have alfie on yumove? What breed is he? What’s worrying me is the fact he doesn’t seem to have any pain. I suspected long ago he had a bad back because when he was younger and would run he’d kind of throw his back legs off to one side. I mentioned it to the vet and she assured me there was no issue but there clearly is. I just wish whatever it is would happen to me and not him.

Kids are gas. We’d be on deaths door.

I’m in work, anxious. Birthday in a few days maybe that’s what’s fücking with my emotions. I’m usually happy all the time. A bit ranty throughout the day but in good spirits and hyper. I should probably stop drinking. There hasn’t been one day I wasn’t drinking in the past two weeks.

I have no idea what is yumove? He's a Springer spaniel, got him from the dogs home years ago., he was only around 18months.... Poor guy had been rehomed & brought back by new owners twice :(
Anyway he's with me nearly ten years so well settled now!

Alcohol is good, in moderation :)

Yumove is a supplement I get for the boys from the vet. It does help with their little joints. Now, no more than the chemo cured my arthritis, it doesn’t cure theirs but they most def have an improved quality of life on it.
It’s a little pricey esp at first because you’ve the loading doses but its 100% worth it, in my opinion anyway. I’d buy that before I’d pay my phone now if it came down to it at the end of the month, I swear by it that much.

Ahh, he's on arthri aid for years & recently got 4 course of injections, so definitely noticed an improvement, fingers crossed.
I'll keep that one in mind shoes

This thread is sad reading with sick men and sick kids and sick dogs. Need some magic dust to make all better.

I am at work and soon heading out for a nice lunch in the wee cafe down the road.

OMG. Holidays. I had a holiday once I think. Well, that’s how it feels anyway. :) Hope you enjoy it a lot 4Ad.

Workside. Stressed as flip, and would love to just walk away. Every problem comes with some little baby sub-problems. Buuuuuut, the sun is shining and I haven’t punched anybody in the face yet. So it could be worse.

Hope all and everyone with whatever number of legs feel better.
