If he got a little more height or a little less distance on it, it would have been a 50-50 ball...i can see other teams trying to adopt the technique going forward

Chiefs win

The Ravens run game worked very well but the super aggressive strategy was to try long bombs, 4th down attempts and 2 point conversions.

A more conservative game plan may have worked, oh well

Pretty good start to the Daniel Jones era with the Giants.

Pretty amazing stat about the Buccs defence, 7 red one trips from opponents, 0 touchdowns. Didn't realise they were playing so tough.

Injuries never help a team and the eagles had a few big injuries but even still we shouldn’t be losing to the bloody Detroit lions. Painful to watch at times.

Nervy start by the 49ers, 1 int and one fumble that they recovered. Steelers looked to be trying to ease Rudolph into the game or they're planning on being very passive.

49ers offense doing a great job moving the ball and then another turnover, up to four turnovers and another one recovered. A mix of great defense and poor Steelers offense the only reason this hasnt gotten out of hand, only 6-0.

Mental 1st half to only be 6-3

49ers 206 yards, 6.5 yards per play, 11 first downs, 4 turnovers
Steelers 76 yards and 2.6 yards per play, 5 first downs, 0 turnovers

Hopefully the more likely thing is that the turnovers stop than the Steelers offense suddenly gets itself together

Yep because the majority of the fans they had for all those years are in San Diego not Los Angeles.There was a report that the chargers aren’t ponying up the cash for the new stadium.

I asked if a drop-kick like that was legal in a game thread last year. Don't know how other teams haven't thought of it tbh as it could easily create a 50/50 ball.

Pats tried it with Ebner in that abortive loss to the Eagles in 2015. Shame they've not gone back to it.

Rugby kickers should be the future for NFL kickers. Could easily dual hat as Punters/ Kickers, and used to handling pressure kicks

Steelers can’t move the chains. We had a great O-Line in recent seasons but they are getting old and their position coach went to Denver. The pocket was collapsing on Rudolph all night and we have zero run game to bail him out. SF’s sloppiness kept the Steelers in the game. Going to be a long season.

SF pass rush was excellent and they have some really good weapons on offence. Can’t imagine they’ll give up the football five times again. Definitely playoff contenders.

Be comical to see Sexton or Farrell in NFL taking 50 seconds to make a kick at goal, whilst gurning and throwing grass in the air to check the wind.

On the drop-kick thing, couldn't help but feel it'll be outlawed soon enough if everyone starts doing in for on-side kicks. It's probably the sort of clash they want to avoid.

Be such a cushy job for them. Little physical stress, could play for years, earning more than they do as rugby players
