Stavros Flatley's act was too short.

This is a terrible episode tonight, Colin is gonna do me in - not drunk enough for this.

That was a one-joke act the first time around. And yet, here we are again

    That was downright terrible

They are so ageist, being 89 is not a talent.

Hmm these guys were good before, sit back in your chair stuff

The skaters were good, even if they were going around in circles.

Great act but all these acts seem very short

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,775 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Colin Thackery in top 3

Anyone know how the superfans are made up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,775 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    The skaters better get through.

Thank God Colin Thackery is gone.

I'm happy and disappointed at the same time - hated both acts

Tape face is a really excellent act (well the clips i saw on YouTube of America's got talent were) but it wasn't great tonight, but could defo see how it would work in las Vegas.
The American comedian....nope despite the female judges cackling like witches.
    Kiddie magician yawn...dull obvious.
Australian lady a really good voice crappy song.
    George Sampson not great.
Stavros flatley...I don't get the appeal at all, it's like something you'd see at butlins and always was. Actually how did the son get away with having a cannabis factory?
Old English geezer give me a break..manipulative tripe.
I really liked the mirrored dancers and the skaters!
Weak compared to last week imo.

Preacher is a worthy winner. Glad the old geezer did not win. I really disliked his song. Great seeing Stavros Flatley again. Great idea to have them doing River Dance - their version. Really like Ant an Dec's entry onto the stage - heralded by the Fake Queen and riding on two thrones. Great that Ant and Dec have gotten it together again as a duo.

    RE Stavros flatley
Isnt that what they have always done with that act?

Didn’t like either of the acts that got through. That comedian was so unfunny. And Stavros is a one trick pony.

The Roller skaters & George Sampson should have got through I think.

Loved Tape Face on AGT but that was a terrible act tonight.

Much poorer this week than last week. I didn't like Preacher, but glad he got through over Colin. If nothing else, Colin only won BGT a couple of months ago, let someone else have the limelight now!

    So! Anything else to nitpick?

Of course I'm aware that their original act was based on Irish dancing, but nothing as elaborate as this time. Overall, it was a lovely production, IMO. Loved the solo flute player at the start and the whole team of dancers that accompnied them. Can you give an example of any other act that radically changed their act from what they did originally?

I'm delighted that Stavros Flatley got the Golden button.

    Okay??????

Er chill out...it wasn't nit picking I am just saying it is pretty much the same thing they do every time with some bells and whistles, to me it is a one joke act, no problem if some people like it, I don't.

Change of act...look at tape face on Americas got talent, or even the skating act they did totally different things on that show.

I don't think it's helping this series that the name of the winner has leaked before it started on TV...

I saw the originals of those two acts you mention, gmisk. They are still doing basically the same thing as before, with slight changes. Tape Face still has the same gimmick of tape over his mouth and black staring eyes. The roller skaters still go round in circles. Stavros Flatley have not tried to convince anybody into thinking that their act is anything more than a joke act. Their presentation via production was much upgraded, this time round. You've only got to hear the audience response to realize how beloved they are and deserving of the Golden Buzzer. It's your choice to like them or not.

Just caught up last night. Not a great show, I thought.
The comedian didn't make me even smile. I'm glad Colin didn't get any further. I liked the little girl magician.

I'm not a long term watcher of BGT so even the ones that have featured previously on BGT, it is my first time seeing some of them.

I didn't really get why Simon raved about Stavros Flatley. I laughed at Tape Face but that was more so to do with David Walliams being part of the act. :D
    I enjoy his antics.

Granted, the little girl magician was excellent. Seems she is going from strength to strength.

Just watched and the read the thread
    Suprised
I thought it was an excellent night and really liked Preacher

    I cried a little
    What’s wrong with me

My eldest son was 9 at the time though and I was watching it with the other lad who is now 9 !!!! So there was that in it and seeing the stavros young lad all grown up

If he has child and they bring him out to join in they could win it
