Ferrari's 90th anniversary celebration art on Twitter:

Not sure what's best, the drawing (although Barrichello is nightmare fuel), or all the butthurt Spanish people about Alonso's position in the poster :)

    Where is Alonso?

    Where is Alonso?

At the top, the guy celebrating with his helmet on and a steering wheel in his hand (it IS a classic Alonso pose).

Actually, most portraits come from pictures of the drivers I'm realizing - for example, Patrick Tambay is a direct representation of this photo:

Can't believe there has been no talk about Hamilton and Ferrari in here. He says he might yet go there as Ferrari fans have been asking when he is going to o to Ferrari. Maybe in 2021. The thing is with Leclerc at Ferrari now and doing good has Hamilton missed his chance to go there? If its Leclerc that is number 1 in the team come 2021 and Hamilton did somehow join its not like they are going to suddenly give him the no. 1 position in the team are they?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Hamtilon to Ferrari stems from Senna who said he wanted to finish his career there.

I wouldn’t believe anything Hamilton says, just because he said it. Of course he’d love a drive in Ferrari. But I seriously doubt he’s willing to give up a championship winning car in exchange for a Ferrari.

He switched to Mercedes but he was switching from a McLaren that was going nowhere and losing ta works status, to go to Mercedes who had just spent massive money investing in the new engine regs and the team itself.

Ferrari have shown they’re probably the worst value for money on the grid and can waste money like no other team that hasn’t gone bust. So I’d say he will wait until the Ferrari is actually better than the Mercedes over a season. If it happens next year, then he might well move in 2021. But there’s no way he’ll just risk it and jump to a slower Ferrari

Hamilton is always complimenting LeClerc and chatting to him, normally he distances himself from other drivers so maybe hes laying the foundations to d there with LeClerc

It's more likely a case of Hamilton trying a new approach to get the tifosi to stop booing him. Only a complete doorknob would walk away from Mercedes right now to join Ferrari. Mercedes are operationally superior in every single way and the culture is one of repeated success. He doesn't need to leave, he can sit back and let Ferrari continue to sabotage their championship ambitions and count up the race wins

His main ambition is to surpass Schumacher's seven world titles won which he will easily by 2021 driving for Mercedes. He status as the sports greatest ever driver will then be ensured for as long as it takes for Verstappen, Leclerc or somebody else to surpass that achievement - which could be ten years or may never happen. So, he could just retire - which he should - or join Ferrari for even one season. Even If he were unsuccessful there his standing would not be damaged to any great extent.

Also, Lewis is now with Raikkonen and Vettel one of the "elder statesmen" of F1, in all fairness he looks like he's trying to embrace the role, you can clearly see it over the last 1.5/2 years, whenever he speaks or the way he relates to young up and coming drivers. Probably just called "maturing", in reality.

As for Mercedes, they're an organizational killing machine; They just lost Aldo Costa to Dallara, this is going to be a good test of their logistical prowess - look at what happened, for example, when Williams first and McLaren later lost Adrian Newey, or when Rory Byrne retired from Ferrari.

Yet, I'd be surprised if Mercedes didn't have the whole succession/continuity already planned into the tiniest details...

I wonder what odds you'd get on Albon winning Singapore?

    This too shall pass.

Seems to be around 7-1, 8-1 was the best I saw on SkyBet

Hopefully Haas change that livery to reflect the departure too.

Haas's cars will run in the same black and gold livery until the end of the season, but all Rich Energy branding will be removed.

The Haas car is going to look a little bland, in fact, it might look really good with very little branding. But it might even look quicker than it is :D

He had already taken a step back into a more advisory role so it was well planned.

That s a disappointing statement from Haas.
Are they really just going to be happy to walk away and let Rich Energy come away with there heads held high?

I wouldn't say Rich Energy can hold their heads high. The farce they pursued since trying it out with several teams in the last year is laughable. Haas gave them a shot (maybe more fool them for entertaining them), but Rich Energy is a joke of a company and deserves to be dropped in full exposure.

Ya they deserve everything that could be thrown at them however the Haas statement is basically saying it was nice working with you.
If that is the end of this, I'm beginning to think William Storey is a genius.
If he can get his start up brand onto an f1 car and basically bluff his way through half season bringing some big money on board at the same time, make a complete tit out of the team he was sponsoring then walk away from 30 million odd in contract liabilities with kind words from the contract partner, well I no longer think he is a fool.

I agree with everything except the second last word. They deserve to be dropped with absolutely no exposure since exposure is ultimately all they want.

Do we know if they actually paid for the sponsorships they did in the first half of he season?

    https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-people-schumacher/michael-schumacher-admitted-to-paris-hospital-for-secret-treatment-le-parisien-idUKKCN1VU25B

Michael Schumacher was admitted to a hospital in Paris for "special treatment".

Philippe Menasche is a surgeon there who specializes in stem cell treatment. I always hope that some good news will come soon, while this is not exactly encouraging, it is something.

    Keep fighting Michael.

^ Yes Michael remains conspicuous by his absence. Such a shame, as this is the time he could be mentoring Mick as he makes his way towards F1, just like Verstappen and Magnussen did.

Is Ralf even mentoring his own son David?

How would we know? Who knows what kind of relationship Mick has with his uncle or David has with his father?

I’m sure they’ve thought of it.

Seems Ralf is involved in David's racing career to some extent

His proud father was on hand to witness his son's successful debut
