So today i saw some guy absolutely get lashed out of it on facebook

Apparently he chatted to this girl on pof ( yes dear lord ) 2 years ago and she is now on one of these dating pages on facebook

Long story short , she put up his pic and slagged him off etc , poor lad was then set upon by more women who had nothing to do with it , but probably jumping on the band wagon

My point is , we have no idea what was said 2 years ago , if he or she was in wrong

But he got shat upon and wasnt there to defend himself

Pretty shocking tbh , some bullying

This surely should not be allowed

So easy for people to ruin others reputations on facebook

Happening all the time now. Facebook provides a platform for cowards to spew bile they would never have the balls to say in real life.

Facebook is an absolute gutter swamp. After all the crap involved with them it's amazing how many people are still on it..

He should have his privacy settings set up properly.

Simple enough solution ES; don't join Arsebook, or if you need to because of far flung family or whatever, keep it all as private as possible and restricted to the people you actually want to talk with.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

    His pic? anything else?

    Would that fall under GDPR
Off to the ombudsman with him

Or stick up your wan, we'll get stuck in.

You give up your privacy and some of your humanity in return for making that bug-eyed weirdo, Zuckerburg on of the wealthiest people in the world. Bad deal there for end users.

She put up his pic and aload of crap about a chat from 2 years ago

The guy id say is oblivious to this post with his pic

What if he was out and about and then picked on because of crap being said on fb ?

    People could be attacked

I think the point of the OP is that the girl put up his photo and instigated the slagging herself without his knowledge, involvement or consent. Nothing to do with him being on Facebook. You can’t defend against that by not bring on FB or restricting your settings.

TBH, though, it’s not an issue limited to FB. The same thing could happen on any internet forum.

What if she said he raped her after she decided to go back to his hotel room at 4am to play chess with him despite the fact that the hotel was not known for chess playing?

What if he got her a job at his employers. She worked really hard and got a promotion. Then stopped hanging out with him and gave him a warning for being late.

Perhaps the solution is a secure text from those looking to ride each other where each gets a code and enters it in before they go at it to agree.

    I don't think it's slagging .
Imo , slagging is teasing and laughing with the other person involved , not bad mouthing them on FB , for whatever obscure reason that girl decided to do so .
Ghouls , taking pleasure in destroying others characters .

I do agree people need to be extremely careful in terms of who they share their information with online. Those online dating yokes are crazy dodgy.

However, it should also be more difficult for others to harass them. Large social media outlets seem to be lacking in this sense. The responsibility should not all be on the harassed to close their account/delete their information. Particularly when they're just kids, like Ana Kriegel.

Bet at least one of the weapons in this case has "Share dis if ur against bullying" and "I did Darkness Into Light" on their profile.

There's some people who think Facebook is a policed area where all things are grand, anyone with these beliefs therserves to have every cent they own seized and given to someone else because they are a fool.

No they don't *deserve* that. They need to cop on but obviously nobody should exploit them in such a way. Especially if they're young and silly.
