    nervous breakdown-side

the universe was smiling on me but then People had to remind me that they're idiots.

I noticed a severe shortage of cleavage tops in my wardrobe and thought some retail therapy would rectify this immediately and lower my blood pressure at the same time. Which one? Too stressy to decide.

They’re both lovely but if it were me I’d pick the black one

Can we make it mandatory for all women to wear that black one all the time?

It would be a trivial thing that makes me happy!

Went through wardrobe and found a beautiful dress that would be lovely for an upcoming wedding. I bought it in a sale a few years ago and it’s timeless. I’d completely forgotten about it. Only problem is I’ve been a bit naughty on the eating over the hols and it will be a squash and a squeeze if I wear it!

"A squash and a squeeze" is my favourite thing to say! Great book ;)

Absolutely delighted with the amount of work I got done in school today. All set now for my kiddies starting on Thursday! My amazing sister came to help me and did a great job. Then we had lunch together. Feeling so much more relaxed about the new school year now!

I made a grateful journal..three days in and I feel like I'm the luckiest person alive. Would really recommend doing it..it's so easy to forget what we have.

TH for a few freebies i got today.:D

A friends wife found a spare backing tin for my bread maker and as she is still smoking she saved me one of these big plastic boxes for tobacco. Perfect for my self baked breads!

On the way home i got a bit of wood for one of my little projects at a construction site for free. It was meant for the bin anyway so i just asked the lads.;)

And now i know that i can trust my little bicycle trailer. First real life test for “The Donk(y)” ended without accident despite the nice distance of 9km.

    :D

I love it Black Forest :D

Am aiming to be back on my bike within the next month or two ! Well , it's an ancient one that I sort of inherited , but my goal is to get it roadworthy again , we'll see if it ever happens :)

    Just do it.:D

A year ago i could hardly stand 8 km without a break. Nowadays i just zoom through the 11km to the city center. From a good 45 minutes i cut it down to 32 minutes. It’s still depressing when these tourists with their e-bikes coming from behind easily overtake me still chatting to each other.

What the heck...i’m in it for fitness and for transporting stuff with my “Donk(y)”.

    :D

The Donky is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long while.

Keep us posted on the pallet recycling project.

My little girl starts school tomorrow and I arrived home to a good luck card for her from the owner and her teacher in her old crèche, which was a lovely gesture and totally unexpected. One of those nice things that makes you realise not everyone in the world is a shítehawk.

What’s making me feel all warm and fuzzy today is reading back over the thread about Yes winning the Eighth Amendment referendum, right from the moment the first exit poll results were announced. :) Sometimes I still can’t believe it. I really thought I was going to die before abortion was legalised in Ireland.

Just waiting for the official go-ahead to adopt an elderly terrier we found at a shelter. He's been there a long time because (understandably) people want younger dogs, but we basically fell in love. He's about 12, even his eyelashes are grey.

I'm just so excited to bring him home and start spoiling him for the rest of his life. :)

Great stuff, fair play. I love to see an old dog get a second chance.

This little guy looks like he knows the secrets of the universe. He's a wise old man, he just happens to be a dog. :)

Didn’t work at all last week on account of being on holidays, and thought I was given all my holiday pay on payday last week, so wasn’t expecting to be paid anything this week. Got my payslip today and I’ll be getting a nice bit come Friday :D

I'll second that. We holidayed there this year. Lovely scenery, plenty of sights to see, decent food and nice people.

Happy today, as our grandchild has come through surgery very successfully.
