The look on boy dog's face, the bottom of the garden is flooded and he doesn't like getting his paws wet.
BUT the cat he is fixated on is down there and he wants to go and bark the odds at her(cat has white paws) , he's having a problem reconciling the two!

*We had to put his 'sister' to sleep two weeks ago and had been concerned about his reaction to this, but this cat seems to be more nb to him.

My friend got that job he was chasing, he's been placed so close to home that walking makes more sense than driving.
So easily could have been a different story.

being secure there’s a lot to be said for it. Bills paid. Warm house. Full fridge. Comfortable enough to not worry about an exploding appliance or an emergency vets bill

so glad. That is something I have never attained to which is why there is a brand new washing machine here that I cannot get plumbed in! Does not worry me any more and I suspect that THAT is my real security. Happy with that.

(((HUGS))) You have worked so very hard to get where you are Kitty and makes me very happy to see this. I do not post as I used to but I read! Blessings and thanks; here for you

Thanks Grace, that means a lot! Hopefully I can continue on that path and the whole thesis process is easier than I’ve been worrying about in my head!

I’m glad you’re happy, and feel secure. Feeling secure is the most important feeling, however it’s obtained. I see friends of mine who stress, and have to plan for weeks ahead if they want a nice night out, or who would be upset if their car broke down, or the child got sick or there was some emergency and it causes enormous pressure on people. I am thankful and won’t take for granted how lucky I am for now, as who knows what’s around the corner but I definitely feel blessed:

Oh I get in a tizz when eg the freezer acts up or the laptop dies, then I give myself a shake and SO WHAT! and adapt. I am not defined by a broken machine etc.

Having less means less stress. I am safe in my home which I was not for many years renting in Ireland.

Sitting in a quiet stables, trying not to nod off to the sounds of the horses chewing their grain. Just something about that sound is just kind of hypnotic, hard to explain, heh.

My regular farrier is after retiring so I had to get a new guy in to do the pony.

Both myself and the pony are very happy with him, he did a great job.

I'll have a few new customers lined up for him when he calls the next time.

I was out gardening today and I looked over to the side and there was a big heron in my garden! Course as soon as I spotted him and uttered some weird excited noise, he took off. But in his haste to get away from me ( :( ) he went the wrong way and had to fly back across the garden. He was so beautiful. It makes me very happy to see lovely animals around my home.

My kitten (well cat now, he's very big!), is the best little pal. I had an awful fright driving home tonight (another car on the wrong side of the road) and I was a bit upset. I lay down on the couch to watch TV. It was as if he knew, he came over and sat right on my chest and purred away.

He's fast asleep beside me on the couch now. He's such a cute little thing!!

Amazing. I often bring my Nana, mam and son out for dinner. Thinking about that, it's pretty cool

When song lyrics really speak to your soul. I absolutely adore Dermot Kennedy and I’ve started a project where I write out some of my favourite lyrics on a watercolour I’ve painted using cheap calligraphy pens I bought in the Tiger shop.

Some of my favourites so far:

“What if the love you deserve is love you never find?
I've learned in love and death, we don't decide”

“You know that feelin' when you think your heart is gonna come right out through your shirt?
Get it a couple times a year
But I've been gettin' it more often with her
Now when I'm face to face with death, I'll grab his throat
And ask him, "How does it hurt?"

“If only you could see yourself in your eyes, you’d see you shine you shine”

Watching the young cats at the shore at low tide.... racing and leaping on the rippled sand .… strong, sturdy, happy wee critters. Just..... magical in the first light here. So blessed

Bought a Ukulele at the festival in Dun Laoghaire and have signed up for lessons. Seeing everyone of all ages and skills last week on the stage in Dun Laoghaire make me happy. Happy out....

Seen this fella on the road and tried to make a typical “mammy” joke about the chicken crossing the road only for my 5 year old to correct me and tell me it’s a cockerel :pac: :pac:

Serendipity. I brought elderly uncle out today, he was in a right grumpy mood, like an ancient teenager. He bumped into one of his friends, got chatting, and came home in great form.

    nervous breakdown-side

the universe was smiling on me but then People had to remind me that they're idiots.

I noticed a severe shortage of cleavage tops in my wardrobe and thought some retail therapy would rectify this immediately and lower my blood pressure at the same time. Which one? Too stressy to decide.
