Milk was poured over car...

    Some lovely little scrote decided it would be a great laugh to pour a full litre of milk over the car a few nights back.

    Unfortunately I was away when this happened therefore it had a full 36 hours to dry in. I have washed the car a couple of times and removed 90% of it, however there are still a few marks on the paintwork that I haven't gotten out by simply washing.

    Does anybody know of anyway to remove these dried in milk marks without damaging the paintwork?

    OP, I'd try giving the marks a shot of a clay bar and only resort to the polish if claying doesn't work. Also, the Detailing Sub-Forum would be a good place to ask and get specific advice.

    Have you any photos? When your rub your finger over it, is it bumpy and raised or small depressions? If it's bumpy and raised, you've something stuck on the paint and claying "should" work. If it's depressions, the clear coat is etched and it may need a polish. If it's etched down to paint and paint is gone, thats a problem.

    Basically get photos so we can see and help

    Edit - If you don't have a clay bar to hand, try soaking. Get a few wet cloths, spread them over the marks and keep them there for a few hours (and keep them wet). That could soften them enough to come off with a wash.

    Autoglym super resin polish. Will take a little bit of work but removes suncream etc. no problem.
