He is not even holding a glass, clearly punches him with a sucker punch

He quite clearly takes a drink and throws the remainder at the old lad. **** behaviour.

He's an embarrassment to Ireland and a coward.

He's an embarrassment to himself and nothing else. He doesn't represent me at all, why should I be ashamed of him. Scrotebag.

Where are his acolytes to defend McGregor now?

The few who remain loyal to him will love him even more now. Thanks to the lenient justice industry there is now an element in Irish society who think a good Saturday night out starts with trimming your beard and ends with running away from assault and battery on some random punter.

Not sure what video you are watching but he strokes his beard and then throws a sucker punch. Makes contact with the old fellas head. I suspect will cost him a sizeable amount

Watching the video again, I don't think he actually punched the old lad, threw a bit of whiskey at him.
What the ****? He clearly cracked him

Exactly, he's just another scumbag. As far from Irish tradition and values as you can get. He'll fall eventually and it'll be a hard landing.

"He just threw a drink at him," "MMA is still as popular as ever."

Some of these people need to open their eyes. It's a thug sport played by thugs.

ah here, MMA is a very enjoyable sport and has some very decent guys fighting in it

it not a "thug" sport just because McKnacker was involved in it

Apologies, I've thrown on my glasses. Quite clearly punches the lad.

I wasn't defending either action BTW.

There's a huge event this weekend, just because you don't hear about it means it has gotten any less popular.

That's among actual fans, not lads who jumped on the McGregor bandwagon to watch the sport.

You're wasting your time with Johnny, Woke Hogan and CQD. To them, MMA is UFC is McGregor is Cagefighting. They're shockingly ignorant when it comes to the sport. I'm not even a big fan of it myself but to lazily denigrate it as a product solely for unintelligent angry men says more about them. They usually throw in overweight and TapOut T-shirts into the mix too. The sport does massive numbers still and has boasted plenty of intelligent folks in its ranks over the years including engineers, teachers and people who went on to represent their country in government.

    PS McGregor is an arsehole.

I think he throws the end of the whiskey at him..doesn't seem to hit him. Terrible thing to do anyway but who knows what your man said to him...

    That's exactly what it means.

Not exactly. It's just that there's no Irish bangwagon for the Best Fans in the World to hop on. They're all getting ready for the Rugby World Cup in Japan where another set of know-it-alls will crawl out of the woodwork.

“Thug sport” my hole. Combat sports are as old as civilisation itself. People from all walks of life participate in MMA and the like, I’ve trained in MMA gyms and met some of the most humble and sound people you’d ever meet.

There’s plenty of scrotes playing and following football as well, it doesn’t mean football is a sport inherently for scumbags.

Decent chin on the old lad

Throw him in the Octagon against Aldo

He's a bully and a thug. Coked up professional fighter attacking an old man is lowlife behavior. He could have killed him with one punch, trained professional fighter vs old man

Few lads drag McGregor away quickly.

Everyone else just carries on pinting. Not an eyelid batted.

It'd bring a tear to an auld stone.

IMO, having watched the video, he didn't intend to. He threw the contents of his glass in his face. Would you provoke a raging McGregor?

    Hahahahahahhaa

Just as he was becoming famous in about 5 years ago he tried to start on me outside a cafe in the middle of the day on a busy Dublin street. I was sitting there minding my own business, cup of coffee and nose stuck in my phone messaging my then girlfriend.

This lad walks along with is missus and stops dead about 10 meters away and eyeballs me. I looked back, no having a f*cking clue who he was and if he was actually looking at me. He looked pretty p*ssed off for some reason. Your one with him held him back and pulled him away without a word being said between the two of us.

Strange strange man, to this day I dont know what I did to upset him. I didn't even know who he was until I described him to someone and they sent me a pick.

Sorry that doesn't fit their preconceived notions and stereotypes, you'll have to try again.

In fairness, I don't think there's much of an overlap between idiot McGregor fans and the more overbearing rugby heads.

If you think I'm going to bother my hole telling you which sports are worthy and which aren't, you're dreaming, pal. This is about McGregor, MMA and their fans. I make no apologies for thinking little of MMA.

There's not even a glass in his left hand.

There are some absolute liars or windup merchants on the thread saying it wasn't a punch.

Could've been any one of about a thousand lads in Dublin in 2014, to be fair :pac:

Let's put a slight hold on reforming the insane compensation payouts until that old fella sues the three piece suit off that horrible, embarrassing scumbag.:D

    Yup.
Since it happened the whole pub makes fun of him. He wakes up at night in a cold sweat.
He's in fear for his life etc etc.

A few million thanks very much.
