The season to date has been full of analysis and predictions, but at this stage I’m all out. They’re still in it at this stage and all we know is that anything could happen. Maybe it’s time for Dublin to score two own goals or lose it on the bounce of the ball, maybe they’ll get caught on the hop or outplayed, or maybe the Mayo lads will die on their feet. It’s going to be madness in any event I would imagine, and I’m certainly done making predictions. Fingers crossed.

Very steep. From my recollection semis were always 40.

    I totally agree

I'm not going to try and analyze a single thing about this upcoming game.

They'll probably be €40 for the Kerry/Tyrone game knowing the way the GAA works

Indeed a tad expensive,I suppose they're factoring in the minor semi final which will be a must see curtain raiser for Mayo supporters.

Not sure if reduced expectations will affect the travelling Mayo supporters.Probably not as I believe they will travel to back a team who owe their county nothing and are truly up against it.

I'd imagine 25,000 to 30,000 supporters could travel?

The GAA made less profit last year due to Mayo not being in the final shake up so of course they will increase semi final ticket prices to recoup. The biscuit tin brigade hasnt gone away you know!

Hurling SF tickets were also e50 so there goes that tinfoil hat theory

But why the price hike? What were they last year?

After the extra games with the super 8s, its not up the prices should be going.

    Were they €45 last year?

Think it was €45 the last couple of years and €40 before that. But according to John Horan the country is booming so the price hikes are justified...

    Prices were raised This year.

€50 for semis and will be €90 for a ticket for the final, up from €80

It's a shocking price really, in fact the pricing of most GAA games is ott. I think it was €25 for the game in Cork today, ridiculous though in fairness the kids for a fiver is good but come on

Yep, with every passing year HQ seems to grow more distant from reality

Its not a recent thing though, prices generally have always been too high imo.

They're only too high if people aren't willing to pay them.

Curious thing about Irish people in general is we always hand it over. Fiscal prudence just isn't in our DNA.

Wishful thinking, Dublin should easily beat Mayo, at least 7 points margin.

This is the kind of talk that will suit Mayo. Let everyone write Mayo off. Inflate Dublin into thinking they’re invincible and they just might believe it. I was in Dublin at the weekend, and their assumption they’re going to win easily is ‘interesting’ to say the least. Mayo also need to mobilise our pundits in case we get a repeat of ‘articles’ like there was coming up to the Kerry match. The fact is Dublin are completely untested. They’ve come through a hugely uncompetitive province and weak super 8’s group...and with Mayo anything can happen!

Sorry but this comes across as desperation, if you really think this then you are not living in the real world. Dublin are a monster, untested or is it just that they are so good. The only way Mayo would win is if they play for their lives and Dublin has a calamity of a performance....neither will happen.

To be fair on form and man for man Dublin should rightly be hot favourites and in all reality if both teams play to their potential Dublin will win by 5-10 but funny things can happen over the course of 70 minutes

Will one be enough when the normal train plus a special going up are usually full.

Prob ably not when you put it like that !
Normal train up is fine time wise but not down
Would they put on two specials ?
They would want to get them on by tomorrow

You're right. On all rational analysis they should but sometimes in sport strange and wonderful things happen and yes perhaps it is wishful thinking but so what? Despite everything we're there again and hopefully they will give it their all and we'll see what happens, there is always hope. What do you want us to do or feel?

Ah the stereotypical Dublin soccer fan. Last GAA post was the exact same drivel before the 2017 final.

Yet to meet any Dublin clubman who shows this bravado and I know plenty of the., seems to only be the online keyboard warriors.

BTW best of luck to Liverpool and Bohs in their respective seasons this year.

Bring a friend option available until tomorrow

    Mayo are 9/2 to win
I backed us at 5/1 in 2012 and it covered the day nicely ;)
