Arron Banks has apparently threatened to sue Netflix over it which alone is reason enough to justify watching it IMO.

Carole Cadwalladr is pretty much hoping that he actually proceeds with his case as it will allow them to produce all their evidence in a court of law.

Can't see him persisting with it but also think it was a stupid move to start proceedings. Especially since Vote Leave retracted their appeal for the fine which was imposed on them.

So will the Queen repeat what she did in 1963 and instead of accepting the new guy as PM, instead invite him to see can he form a government?

This is what happened to Douglas-Home, the shortest reigning post war PM, with massive Tory divisions.

Please let it be Francois. Only way this could become more farcical

100 quid bet he would wear his TA uniform, that deffinitely wont fit, to his first meeting with the EU

If he gives anti-GFA Gove the NI post can we take it the UK is planning to go fully rogue nation?

Johnson and the ERG would be going rogue.

    Phillip Hammond has resigned.

He said he was going to do so on Andrew Marr at the weekend.
    It is politics within politics.
He's just ensuring Johnson cannot fire him.

My brexit addiction has found a whole new layer.
Now addicted to LBC. Listening all day. It’s really informative but some of the people they get calling in are just pure deluded up to bonkers.

Mark Simpson on BBC NI thinks Theresa Villiers could even return to the role - another ultra hard Brexiteer

The one benefit of having an arch brexiteer that isn't Gove is they might be more open to dumping the DUP into a sea border to achieve Brexit.

Bad form form front bench Labour not to applaud her , sat there like a bunch of spoilt kids, at least the back bencher's did.

She has played a huge part in the calamity that has befallen the UK and you think she deserves applause?

Never mind her cheek lecturing people now about compromise etc. She has been a disaster.

Yes, he wants to go straight to the free trade deal. His new sound bite is "No deal is better than a bad deal but not as good as a free trade deal" or words to that effect.

Indeed but the Labour front bench havent exactly covered themselves in glory either so them trying to make a point by not applauding kind of just reminds everyone how rubbish they have been also.

It's an empty threat but it's important to see the light being shone on this.

Banks will have a legal team who will have advised against litigation for this reason. However, I am grateful that progress is being made in investigating these surreptitious dealings.

Anyone watching newsnight? Priti Patel tipped to be home secretary which will be something to say the least.

Did anyone catch the interview of James Cleverly by Emily Maitlis.
New leader same shyte from Brixiteers.

For anyone that didn't see it, the gist is.

He talked about Boris doing negotiations with EU about withdrawal and he didn't even flinch when Maitlis countered with "so the EU have agreed to reopen negotiations on WA". She even asked when they found out about this.
And everytime she pointedly brought this up he either ignored it or just blathered on with usual cr**.

They are still living in cloud cuckoo land.

I am not allowed discuss …

Meh. Too much is made of adhering to pointless pomp and tradition. It's half of the reason the UK is in this mess.

I don't see why anyone should be obliged by convention to applaud someone that they don't respect.

And has shown little to no respect to the labour party in her entire time as PM.

Saw that, he was ably assisted by Johnson's campaign team member on the end. Waffling some nebulous stuff about him being capable of leading people.

When it came to 'leading them where to exactly?' both of them were mute.

I see Dominic Cummings has been brought in as an advisor to Boris.

If you haven't watched it already, have a look at Brexit - The Uncivil War (Sky/C4 production) it's very lightly fictionalized but based on his shenanigans in the Vote Leave campaign.

Shes on her way to the palace, doubt we will see any major upsets now even thought its very possible Johnson could lose a VONC in even a day or two

Interesting that May is still going to sit in Parliament, I suspect we haven't heard the last of her. She could be a thorn in Johnson's side, particularly if he pursues a No Deal.

What I'm reading is that Corbyn plans to wait until after the Summer recess, but it's too late either way. Labour getting in at this stage just puts them in a Karl Donitz type situation.

Just a point on radio about Boris calling an election to beat the no confidence vote to the punch. He then can say they’re blocking him from delivering brexit and it gives him an extension which he probably wants privately but obviously won’t say publicly.

A byelection might change the numbers and take it to nearly a minority, she needs to keep being there

Most former Prime Ministers remain in Parliament, at least until the next General Election at the earliest.

Dark days. The biggest liars and cheats are now running the show. The only reason to get Cummings in is to have an expert liar on your side.

That's what ex-PMs do, heckle from the back. Freed of any worries about their legacy (hers is in ruins anyway) they can say what they really think.

Having said that, May might keep quiet to avoid further blame and to demonstrate that she wasn't actually that bad, it was just an impossible task.

Cummings is the darkest face of Brexit you can imagine, every single lie from the machine was approved right there.

As Carole Cadwalladr said today this is ridiculous he ran vote leave and they were found to have lied by the Electoral Commission.

Particularly when the majority is only two, and a by-election coming up which is likely to be a loss to the Tories. I think she would not be forgiven if she reduced the majority to zero.

It may have taken 'til her last day to do it, but Teresa May has finally said something good in the HoC....to Jeremy Corbyn....as a leader who recognized when it was her time to go, perhaps it's time for you to do the same"

She probably waited until now to say it because he was one of her biggest assets while she was PM

Fascinating to read though that there is no love lost between he and the ERG and he positively hates people like IDS and Bill Cash. This could get very messy and rancorous.
