    Hi all,

Returning to gym this week after a 6 week hiatus from wedding and honeymoon. Looking forward to it.

Had been using an effective programme that was recommended to me by a work colleague who plays Gaelic Footballer to a reasonably high level. I am not a footballer but would enjoy keeping fit and resistance exercises.

3 workouts, with a primary exercise (BP, RDL, Squat) followed by 3 sets of 3 different exercises, ending with HIIT.

Enjoyed that type of programme, would anyone have anything similar?

Any chance you could post the programme you were doing?! A guy at work gave me the below and I found it good to do:

    Threadmill - 1km run under 5mins
    Plank - 1 minute
    Push Ups - 20
    Burpees - 10
    1 minute rest break

    Repeat 3 to 5 times.

We were aiming for 5 circuits, 4 min km’s, no rest break in approx 38mins after a few weeks. Found it good

    Cheers!

The one I was doing had a bit more in it, and more resistance involved - weighted chins, DB overhead press (kneeling), DB Bench, Weighted Deadbugs, etc.

Why are you stopping doing it if you are enjoying it?

Yeah, I was definitely enjoying it....but I just wanted to change it so as not to get bored.

If you're not bored, there's no need to change it. Especially if it's getting results.

When you stop getting results, then look at what isn't working and take it from there.
