In the home house, sitting in the garden with a coffee, my book and the dog. On my holidays from work for the next two weeks, and starting it with a jam packed weekend of catch ups and fun with friends. But for now, I’m just gonna bask in this beautiful weather and enjoy my solitude.

I am the queen of procrastination. Someone was chatting to me the other day about writing their masters thesis. It reminded me of the hours I spent just staring at the screen or gathering research. All in an effort to prolong actually writing the damn thing. Shudder.

Yep, that's it exactly... I'm currently supposed to be adding a tricky-to-program riser to a dance track I've been working on (to the uninitiated, the 'riser' or 'uplifter' is the section in dance music where you just have a slowly increasing pitch, like an engine starting up, accompanied by a "whoooooooosh") and instead of working on making one, I've been listening to Calvin Harris, Avicii, and SHM for the last hour thinking "This is ok, I'm researching what a good riser should sound like"

For context, I have a major outdoor gig in one month's time and I've promised three new tracks to debut. This is still the first one I'm working on :pac:

I am bedside with a freshly applied coat of magic mixture on my foot. My "problem" has returned.
